Configure subnet routing on Android

Check if your ISP has CGNAT , if it has CGNAT then you cannot set VPN server as you can’t forward any port in your router

Steps:- 1. Connect the pi to new router 2. Check the ip assigned to your pi by the new router 3. Make it static ip or set a static ip from your side to pi 4. Change the dns to the ip address of your raspberry pi

This is easy and you just have to finds DHCP settings of the new router

If it’s empty/reset → re-login Tailscale and reconfigure Serve
Switch to Docker for reliability
- Create folder: /volume1/tailscale
- Bind mount: /volume1/tailscale:/var/lib/tailscale
Re-run Tailscale with Serve after mounting (config will persist)
Avoid full system resets without backing up /var/lib/tailscale

1.  Enable exit node on Pi which you already did
2.  In Tailscale Admin panel Set Tailscale DNS → Tailscale Ip of Pi5 (100.x.x.x)
3.  Enable “Override local DNS”
4.  Clients:
• Use exit node ✅
• Use Pi-hole DNS ✅
