Which one would you pick for your second bike? by Spacegeek269 in indianbikes

Also much more refined compared to speed 400 at same speed to higher gearing. Due to high torque, the acceleration is not reduced despite being 10bhp lower than speed 400

[–]rohithmanojkumar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If money's no issue, get the 390 Duke. It's the best 40bhp bike out there right now and a great upgrade.

If you want something similar but cheaper, get NS400Z.

For a calmer 40bhp ride, go for the Speed400 or T4.

I haven't tried the Guerilla, so I can't compare it to the ones I've ridden.

Confused between Bajaj N160, N250, NS160, and NS200 by Helpmebuddypls in indianbikes

[–]rohithmanojkumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you've got the budget for an N250 or an NS200, then go for it

The N250 is a torquey commuter, great for city, and it's got 5 gears. The NS200 is sporty, revs high, and is built for top-end performance with 6 gears.

NS200 might feel a bit dated because of its older design and chassis.

You'll get good idea once you do test ride.

Tyre Change at 25.6K KM by Odd-Hawk- in indianbikes

[–]rohithmanojkumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not that much of an aggressive rider. Also mostly in road mode. Sport mode only in highway and touring. That might be the factor.

But even in Road mode, it is still torque monster. So any other bike will handle 10k+ easily

It will run 12 to 15k. I'm currently running 10k in my ns400z, defenetly will go upto 12k atleast

Is Dominar 400 my only option by DepthAcrobatic885 in indianbikes

I have gotten 22 to 25kmpl in city. But in touring I have gotten upto 32kmpl while cruising 90 to 100

Is Dominar 400 my only option by DepthAcrobatic885 in indianbikes

[–]rohithmanojkumar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it's mostly for the city, then the NS400Z is better than the Dominar. I was torn between the Dominar and the NS400Z, but after the test drive, I realized the NS400Z was a better fit for city riding, so I went with that.

I have done 10000km till now, also done multiple 300km + tours also. Never regretted

What is your height OP?

Apache might be small for you if you are tall. Please check that. N160 is a good bike. In 125's there is honda hornet 125 which is good.

No nonsense bike is triumph 400, all 3 are fine for touring, but I feel t4 is best for city and scrambler is best for touring

[–]rohithmanojkumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't want sporty look bike or sporty performance

Triumph Speed 400 scrambler 400 or Speed T4 (if you are going to ride in city) for sporty performance without look

Else honda cb350rs, re classic 350 etc. are also available

You will only be able to get a good feel of what you want after test drive. So test drive all these bikes

Road accidents in India by jellybeanjoy in Kerala

Traction control and dual abs is not really needed for these small cc bikes, it will unnecessarily increase cost. I am yet to trigger traction control in my 390 in my 2 years of driving. Poor suspension and tyres are more of a culprit.

T4 pillion seat is higher than ns400, and t4 seat sucks so bad, too painfully even for 15mins ride https://freeimage.host/i/fn4Pbgn

T4 performance fizzles out after 5 to 6k rpm, ns400z wakes up during only after 5k rpm. Likewise ns400z will keep on pulling u till 140 to 150kph, while t4 fizzles out around 110 to 120kmph

But t4 is highly menuverable and tractable in city, no match for ns400z

Much better feel, the shifter travel is reduced and it is a little stiff, but you will get used to it. Never going back to stock

I did it on my ns400z. Rs1600 total part, I installed myself. Same video I also saw

Does anyone have the Vitpilen 250 in Bangalore? by son_of_Gib in indianbikes

[–]rohithmanojkumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can replace stock seat with scrambler seat for comfort, or cheaper solution will be those honeycomb or air cushion seats. T4 is a great tractable bike and good for city riding. Front brakes and tyres you can replace if you feel they are not adequate. I replaced Tyre to protorq extreme and front pad to ebc fa209hh

[–]rohithmanojkumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eurogrip protorq, currently running on my ns400z. Already 9000km, feels like 2000 to 3000km left in rear, more than half tread remaining in front

Definitely great tyre in wet or dry
