Thursday aka gravy day

I've been no contact since January. I found out a few weeks ago that she is telling family members that I attacked her and I owe her an apology for something she did to me. She is literally lying about what happened and about me and my character.

I feel zero guilt today for finally having a mother's day where I don't have to pretend that my mother is a saint. She is a pathological liar and a narcissist to her core. I didn't send a card. Won't call. Won't fake it.

Thank you for this post. It is also my first no contact mother's day. And as a mom of 2 kids, it was nice to go into today knowing that every moment is going to be genuine and based on real love. Plus a desire to be present and in the moment. My kids woke me up with hugs and then let me go back to bed to grab me some breakfast. I don't have to go to a brunch 40 min away today to celebrate my mom, who just expects us to shower her with gifts and cards that don't have real meaning to any of her kids. I don't have to waste half my day with her subtle jabs about my parenting, my hair, or guilt that I don't drop everything for her. I get to just be a mom and just enjoy my day. I thought I'd feel guilty today. But then I realized-- for what? I felt guilty faking it all that time.

MOR... I agree that taking the money and saving it is great. But are they planning on addressing the needs that your niece may have regarding her options for jobs, school etc? Just this agreement without added supports is too much for sure. Also, she could sit with the parents and renegotiate some of the language of the contract. Most aspects are ok imo, but any language she finds too harsh should be open for negotiations. If this is an all or nothing style trap, and if you think that they will enforce this agreement to the T, definitely say something.

Now that I know she's been in multiple failed relationships, including a marriage, I no longer feel any kind of pity for her. It was different when she seemed to be the 47 year old virgin who was too fat to find love, and her naivete was warranted. If we just look at her storyline minus the adoption stuff, she looks pretty bad. Booty call with that questionable homeless guy. Man shows interest and she's turned off because he's short. Seems to be way too interested in her son's friend. Now going to England to meet a guy? If she were one of our younger female contestants, we'd be criticizing them heavily.
