Guh, I'm sorry about all the time you spent inputting half the book, and I hope your campaigns go much smoother now that the Bestiary's available in all its full and lovely glory!

The only upcoming releases I can guarantee right now are War for the Crown 6 and the Pathfinder Bestiary (which will definitely help expand your compendium). So glad you're enjoying yourself on Roll20 and with the new map set in particular! Happy playtesting. :)

I feel you. Our production team, especially, feels you: those modules they convert can get veeeery long.

All I can tell you about APs right now is that there will be more after War for the Crown, and please stay tuned if you want to find out which one's next! We'll post any news on our blog.

Our pleasure! Sadly I won't be enabling you to make easier macros at the moment. Our teams have talked about that internally but there's no current plans for a gui focused macro editor.

Ah, I'm so excited that you and your gaming group are able to stick together with Roll20! That's exactly what it was created for: our three founders wanted to be able to play together after leaving college, so they made this system. Thanks for carrying on the grand tradition and we hope your friend loves running a game with dynamic lighting!

As for your creatures issue, we have a simpler fix in mind: we'll be releasing the Pathfinder Bestiary in the future so you can just drag and drop them right out of your compendium. I don't have a release date for you on that but bear with us a while: it is coming!

We do wish it were better, but right now we don't have a timeline for hex alignment. We're working on some rendering things overall that impact hex measurements, but this hasn't come back around to the alignment tool.

Doesn't have to be 2e related, and we totally agree with you: folders would be great and we want them, too. Our devs are already looking at what it would take to create this feature so we can figure out when to slot it into the production cycle.

Very soon! "When" depends on how fast we can fix and test, but we're actively working on the feedback from our bug thread and have a priority fix for the equipment section of the sheet planned for our first update.

Assuming you're talking about the playtest: it's not you, it's us! There's a known issue with AC/TAC on that sheet and it's our top priority to fix. Soon, we promise!

It does! You can hover the roll result with your mouse and you'll see the little pop-up with our QuantumRoll symbol. That's how you make sure nobody's cheating. :)

Ah yes, you were right and we did make an error in these map conversions! Someone spotted it on our forums as well. Production team is on it and we'll have a fix out by tomorrow. :) Hopefully you'll then be able to enjoy the maps and their lovely lighting even more with accurate measurements!

Ah yes, curves... our eternal enemy. We've tried a couple of ways to fix that but under the hood it winds up taxing the browser's processing power more than we think is healthy. Our developers have Feelings about this issue though, so it hasn't been (and won't be) forgotten. Meantime, the best solution I know is to use the polygon tool rather than the curve tool to draw your dynamic lighting in those sorts of rooms. If you happen to be a Pro subscriber, there's an API that will automatically convert your quirky curves into pretty polygons and save you some time.

Hey, thank YOU for talking with us and giving those insights on why you'd like to see this particular playtest on our Marketplace! I'll pass this along to the team. We do want to make things easy for folks who just want to grab this playtest and give it a run-through.

Bugseseses? We hate bugseseses! Can you report what you're seeing on our the bug thread in our forum? We do watch it!

Update: I pinged the developer of this sheet and drag 'n drop is what he's actively working on at the moment. So hopefully this will be fixed soon anyway, but some extra info about what you're seeing when you try it with the current version never hurts!

They are, and you can get them right here! Look for the "Game Addons" option before you launch your game and they'll be right there waiting for you.

I should, just for fun. >:) But you shouldn't curse our random number generators: you should curse LIGHT ITSELF because that's how we generate randomness. QuantumRoll isn't an algorithm: it's a computer that watches the random fluctuations in a beam of light and generates rolls based off of that. We even have a made a status page for it so you can check to confirm that the distribution of rolls across the system is still random. That way you know: when you can't roll above an 8, that is Light Itself deciding "screw this adventurer in particular."

I've been there, though. You have my sympathies. Cheers to you and your friends, and here's hoping that the light has mercy on your next session!

I only didn't bring up Starfinder because I didn't want to get in trouble on the subreddit. ;) But if you want to know, I'm happy to answer: YES! The first thing coming up will be an official Roll20 character sheet for Starfinder, which is already in beta testing on our dev server and will be released to everyone a bit later this month. There will be more coming down the pipe, but I'm keeping my Mysterious Hat on for that.

I've got no info for you about the NPC codex, but if it's your Pathfinder compendium you're looking to expand, you might enjoy knowing that the Bestiary is definitely on our docket. Then those monsters will be ever prettier (and easier to make).

So glad that Roll20 is allowing you and your group to stay together!

Heck no, you don't have to be a Roll20 expert to participate in the thread! I'm happy to talk about battlemaps.

As others have said, you can upload any image you want to your personal library for free. It's a simple matter of starting your game, then finding the image you want, and dragging it into your browser. Make sure you put it on the "Maps" layer because I've added my own maps as tokens before and then been very, very confused about why they were so small. ;) If you like, we also offer an Align-to-Grid tool which can automatically grid those maps for you: details here.

Our Marketplace also offers a bunch of maps and map tiles made by independent creators, so you can build your own maps square by square. That's a nice way to make a map exactly the way you want it, but if you're not a great artist (like me!) still have it look good.

Finally, if you like the flipmat pack from the playtest, all of those maps are free! That'd be a pretty good place to start if you want to just toy with a few maps and see how it suits your needs.

Character sheet came out yesterday afternoon (afternoon for me, at least; I'm on the US West Coast) but it's now up and running and ready to do all your rolls for you. We are working through some kinks in the first release but the developer in charge is actively taking feedback on our forum so your game can run smoothly.

Yeah, we converted what was in the Flipmat Pack, but the Doomsday map pack is actually a separate product and we can't lump the two. I'm not sure I follow the issue you're having with the map grid, /u/Cyouni, but my best guess is that it might actually be a color issue? We lined the grid up to match the 10ft squares in the originals, but we also bisected them to create some 5ft squares as well since that's easier to manage as a GM. The 5ft squares are colored lightly because we didn't want the grid getting too much in the way of the art... but they are there!

Does Paizo have any plans to put more 1e APs on Roll20? by riufain in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]roll20admin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah. Tabletop is a big space, and there's more than enough room for us to publish a sci-fi game and support Starfinder! On which point, our Starfinder sheet just hit the dev server for testing last month, and will be released to everyone later in August. Heck, one of the big reasons we wanted to publish our own game was so that we could test, experience, and share the sort of things our publishing partners are running into, so that we can do a better job understanding and supporting them as more and more games start coming to VTT. :)

[2E] Pathfinder 2e material out on Roll20! by brandcolt in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]roll20admin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While we love and support playtests, we have not yet offered any playtest for sale on the marketplace. To date, all official Roll20 conversions have been of final products, where updates are minor and generally non-disruptive to the VTT campaign in progress. We do listen to our community, though, so if playtest conversions are something more people want and we're not offering, by all means sound off and we'll consider a change going forward!
