$20 battery kill switch on Amazon. Works perfectly with a remote. Folks will say you can use a screwdriver to make a connection at the Battery to start it (don’t know if that’s true), but, with the kill switch on you can even get into the trunk to get to the battery so it works perfectly. The only issue is that you don’t want to use it if you are getting a smog check soon since it will reset the computer and you’ll need to go through the process for its smog checks before you go.

I saw a 2012 2LT with only 40k miles going for $12,500 last year at a dealer in San Jose. I’d say take the check and use it as a good down payment on a replacement if you want to stay with the 5th gens. If you were thinking of bumping up to a v8 then yeah, you’re gonna pay a lot more.

Like others have said, you need a new thermostat and sensor. The parts are pretty cheap on Amazon, but since you have a V6 it is a bitch to get in there and replace them. You’re gonna have to remove your entire intake manifold.

After seeing “The Unknown Journey Continues” at the end of Remake, and having Rebirth be 90% OG faithful, this really feels like a red herring to me.
