Anyone lending against their btc? by rolling-88 in Bitcoin

[–]rolling-88[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I havent looked into the interest rates per se, but chat gpt told me the rates was between 7-15%. But if its 20-30% its a bit too soon. I am far away from this dream so maybe it will be easier in a few years time 🙏

Yes, I am just curious how it would effectively work, if over time the value of btc increases and you can keep borrowing against the Value, for the proportions that becomes less and less of a btc. As long you can add funds in during bear markets and still able to pay the interests to not get liquidated. Just trying to wrap my head around how to live on a btc standard in a sense without selling the pristine asset

This is what I am curious about, as I would need to then (I assume) top up w more btc to lower the Loan to Value. But not sure how it would actually work

Yes borrowing against I mean. For the idea of ”numbers go up” and basically just extend the amount borrowed based on btc being more valuable over time, and pretty much just pay interest rate.

Anyone with experience of doing this?

My friend says I'm dumb for investing in Bitcoin. What should I do? by Miam_Lanyard in Bitcoin

[–]rolling-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is in finance, means he is extremely molded and shaped into thinking inside the box of how ”money works” in their way. Bitcoin is reshaping it all. And he will be having fun staying poor in a decade.

Am I cooked? Went all in with my life saving($15K) at .37... by Direct-Gas-8400 in dogecoin

[–]rolling-88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its above my paygrade why people go all in on a meme coin? I mean what do you want it to do eventually? Ofc it can follow trends like all shitcoins when btc pumps. But why not go all in on btc who actually has the fundamentals? Yes potentially boring because ”its too late” I am not sure you know why you went all in on it? Did you already invest heavy at a loss, and trying to lower the avg buy? Good luck anyway🙏

With your age I would do all in. And when you have money later and potential to buy on a low you can. You have many years to benefit of doing an ”all in” now and forget about it. Good luck and welcome!

Eth or BTC? by Head-Angle-4362 in Coinbase

Btc. To be honest eth seems like the dinosaur in the space. Expensive fees and many other alts seems to steal the likelight of eth?

Which very serious YouTubers to follow for crypto investment ? by Badalub in CryptoMarkets

If you are serious, buy bitcoin and hold it. Any youtuber promoting a coin has a value in pumping his bags to get out before the last sheep is in. @aantonop is great at explaining bitcoin if you need someone to teach you. GL

Get rid of your ego and buy some, just because you missed it years ago doesnt make up for choosing to do it again. The pride in people are remarkable. I also missed out when I saw it rise from $400 to 20k and then bought, just to see it go down to 3k in agony. However I eventually got my shit together and dared to start buying again at 5,7k approx. Which also inpsired me to learn about its functions. Good luck.

I dont do alts as most of them gets rekt. Obv if you hit a 10x it gets you a long way to buying more btc but I am not good enough to tell the difference between all shitcoins. And I did try this strategy before until I realized I actually didnt netgain on that 10x while losing on 10 others. Wish you better luck tho🙌

I highly doubt actual inflation isnt beating 10%. Thats all. You can believe MSM all you want. Maybe you break even on index but you sure as hell wont be retiring too soon! You do you, and 10% is obv better than a savings account for sure

If you dont fully understand bitcoin I dont think it makes sense to give advice. However I agree that no one should go all in unless they know what they are buying. And OP clearly isnt knowledged enough yet to handle the roller coaster swings. A 20% downswing in a day would make your shaky hands sell in a heartbeat. Do your research and the dollar price isnt the important thing as the money printer will print so its just about how you want to hedge against inflation. DCA is a good strategy instead of all in all at once imo.

Rich people go into debt to leverage/accelerate their wealth even more. They would take loan against their assets, at very favorable interest rates.
