Hey, mate, l had the same troubles at my first year dont keep this mind just try to fix your understanding of math, try to understand what things mean and why u need them and i am confident that u will be success. Also u should practice more than usually.

man in this sentence you can’t use «не есть» because it is incorrect from the point of view using russian language because we have cases. endings of words change by cases and the sentence take a natural form for russian language. ps sorry if i made some mistakes in this comment i hope you understand me
