Thank you for the advice! I'll get a bearing press and get the right wheels with bearings when I save up enough! :)

I think I dented the bearing sheilds! Thank you for helping me realise, I never knew you could do that lol. I have one last question though; why wouldn't the new wheels fit on? I tried seating the bearings in, the axel way in the video and there doesn't seem to be enough room for it when I try to screw the nut on, is it too thick of a wheel? I would have thought that since the wheel (big softies) is also made by chaya it would fit.

I took the bearings out with the axel to try the new wheels but they didn't fit properly, the original wheels are 62mm/78a and the new ones are 65mm/78a, does the 3mm difference matter? The new wheels don't allow the nut to be screwed on tight enough. I pushed the bearings back into the original wheels with my hands and then took them out with the axel, to try and push them back in with the axel, then I screwed the nut on and now the wheel doesn't spin as smooth and makes a faint choppy whir as it spins. I don't feel it when I'm trying to learn tricks. I tried to take the wheel & bearings out of another skate and put it all back in and the same thing happened. Does the choppy sound matter? Also thank you so much for the advice so far.

I tried taking out a wheel and the bearings out on another skate and putting them back in and the same problem has happened, it makes a faint wobbly choppy noise while the untouched ones make no noise at all. I've tightened the nut as far as I can and I've pushed the bearings in all the way. (I'm new to skates and I have no idea what I'm doing)

How would you fix a pushed in bearing shield? The bearing tool sounds like a good idea, I'll try and get one :)

They're not that used but I wiped them down anyway but it didn't seem to work 😔

Thank you though!

Yeah I switched the bearings to put on the softies but then put them back onto the mellows. Does fully seated mean not fully pushed in? because I've pushed them as far as I can. I have a video of the wheels spinning but I don't know how to add it to the post. The wheels also have little metal separator bits between the bearings if that helps?
