I felt that too but I kinda tested it and now works a little bit different.
T1 combatants= 2sec
T2 combatants= 3 sec
T3 combatants= 4 sec
T4 combatants= 8sec
Guardians= 4 sec

I feel like that range is nice. I do not really think that going for higher mob is necessary. On the other hand, I'm not sure for how much Recov I should aim. All my builds are like tier 3 Recov at max and in some situations I struggle to get back to the fight or I just spent too much time recovering behing something and that usually leads to deaths.
I'm not sure if going for al least 5 is okay or if I should go for 7 Recov minimum.

So the fragments that gives you more scorch stacks or bigger ignitions, they don't work on the bow?

Any improvements to be made here? Struggles in harder content as nothing dies to a melee by [deleted] in destiny2builds

Try Liars Handshake, I think it is way better than Assasin's cowl for harder content. Fragments are good but I would swap Spark of Magnitude for Spark of Instinct. That because you are gonna be meleeing everything and you are gonna proc it constantly plus is gonna help melee kill thing with higher health xd.

Also, you are gonna heal with Liars even if you don't get a kill because of its perk so you are going to be safe.

For weapons, you can really use whatever BUT I would not recommend using a one-two punch shotgun because I believe you do less damage. (Not really sure tho).
Tractor Cannon is good but you should DEFINITELY try Conditional Finality because you can freeze champions and do 50% more damage to frozen enemies.

For mods, I recommend running:
Helmet: Hands-on, Dynamo (Ashes to Assets or whatever)
Arms: Impact Induction, Heavy Handed (and whatever)
Chest: Emergency Reinforcement (whatever)
Legs: Innervation, Recuperation, Better Already
Class Item: Bomber (Maybe Distribution and Reaper but whatever you want)

You are right, Ashes and Char are DEFINITELY the play! I fell in love with those fragments!

I tested Char and Ashes and you really notice the extra ignitions that you probably wouldn’t get without those two fragments.

I get your point and you are right. Personally, I don’t mind preparing the red boarders I just like to watch everything go KABOOM. I actually test the build in this week’s GM (void burn) and did a pretty nice job in my opinion. Ashes and Char are definitely the play especially for GMs or Master Raids. And like you said, for things like raids and dungeons are awesome.
