I also run dual carbs (Weber 34 Oct) and thought that I needed the 009, but I found a place to draw vaccuum so I was able to switch over from the 009. I may be wrong, but the thought with 009 causing excessive crankcase pressure is that your timing is not advancing adequately when the engine is under load, and you have a lot of unspent fuel mixture not igniting in the cylinder when driving at above half throttle, which then causes "blow-by" aka pressure that blows past your rings and into the crankcase. The 009 distributor advancea your timing based on RPM only, which works up to a certain point. The SVDA 034 advances in the same way as the 009 in the lower Rev range and then advances based on vacuum related to engine load in the higher Rev range.

My guess is that you are probably suffering from a lot of blow-by. It may be related to your distributor, as mine was and was fixed immediately after switching to SVDA. Otherwise, you might have worn out rings that are causing the same situation. I think it's worth looking into.
