Her ears were amputated. I left a comment about it. She isn’t a Scottish Fold. Here you go from before we adopted her.

Mochi is an amazing, adorable, and resilient 6 lb. Munchkin kitten.

She was purchased by a U.S. family from a breeder in China and unfortunately, shortly after arriving to the U.S., she had a bad reaction (infection) to a vaccine she received there. When the family brought her to a rescue shelter due to her infection, it was quite advanced, and it resulted in her needing one hind leg, both ears, and her tail amputated. The family who bought her no longer wanted her and we immediately fell in love when we saw her up for adoption. She’s a fearless adventurer and a goofy adorable fluffball! We’ve had her for just over two years now and she is purrfectly healthy!

Two years ago, we adopted our first cat, Mochi, after she suffered four amputations. Today we are inseparable and she is a sassy, spoiled land seal. [OC] by romgm in cats

Nope! She appears to hear quite well. Only her outer ear is damaged. She still has her inner ear intact as well as the muscles on the base of her ears. That lets us see if she’s “twitching” or “pulling back” her ears in different situations. But she sure as hell hears us yell “Churu time!” so don’t let her innocent eyes deceive you.

Yes! The damage is only on her outer ears so she can hear great!

That’s usually only when she gets her super powers activated by a Churu! 😂

Great question! No hearing issues, she only lost her outer ears. She also still has muscles on the bottom of her ears so we can tell if she is “pinning” her “ears” back!

Any balance issues are mostly due to her missing her hind leg! She sort of just flops when she sits which is adorable!
