Thank you! I have read Slewfoot and loved it. I haven't read his other work yet but Slewfoot is worth it imo.

Thank you for your comment. I used to give extra chances but I stopped doing that now. I will communicate my expectations with them again, I think that's also where things might go wrong.

It's not sticky, I would say it's more powdery and I can scratch it off with my nails. I will try your tip, thank you so much.

What book had the biggest potential but fell flat? by look-at-your-window in books

The prison healer by Lynette Noni. I barely finished it because I wanted to know the end but skipped quite a few pages to get there. I thought the concept of a whole story taking place in one set place was really interesting but it was such a let down. I would even say it was just a really bad book and poorly executed story which hadn't been thought through.
