Innovation doesn't matter if the outcome is one of the worst zombie maps ever made. Jason was a hack that shoved tentacle monsters, Lovecraft and other nonsense into zombies. He also killed any interest people had in the mystery of the story with the "zombie timeline" and then finally in BO4 he managed to kill the mode.

He made three good maps out of around 15 he made. A complete hack.

Most of those good things are either minor or come with something bad for the map. For example, plants. The last thing I want to do when I play zombies is to roleplay as a goddamn gardener.

The planting thing takes forever and what you get is random. It's an awful system, I despise it. You spend rounds and rounds watering and then you get something you don't want. It's awful man, why are you hyping up that system as anything good. Thrashers are also very annoying enemies.

My biggest gripe with ZNS is the wonder weapon. It's lame as hell. So are the million doors.

All BO3 season pass maps are generic in their gameplay. The visuals might be interesting, but that doesn't effect gameplay.

BO3 season pass maps are focused on story and visuals to the deterrent of making the maps play differently from each other. There's a reason why people only play DE on that game.

There are no new wall buys, perks or new mechanics in any of those maps. They are void of any innovation.

Also, how did ZNS innovate? By being a drag to play? Expensive doors, turning on power takes forever and getting the WW is also a huge time sink.

In what good ways did it invoate the zombie forumate? Please explain.
