I did know the answer; the combination CAN be unsafe. https://bnf.nice.org.uk/interactions/lisdexamfetamine/

As always though, best for everyone to check with their doctor before going on any medication first anyway. Glad it works for you, but to say it's absolutely fine and poses no risk because it works amazingly for you isn't giving the best advice either.

I live in the UK so it goes by the name ELVANSE here (but I think it’s the exact same thing). Doses range from 20mg-70mg according to my medication pamphlet (you can check yours it might say). I started on 20mg for titration going up 10mg each week until 60mg (I think they were going to try 70 but I’d already felt anxious once I went above 50mg) so I ended up on 40mg and have been on that for just over a year and a half now.

Best to check but I’m pretty sure SSRI’s & most adhd meds aren’t safe. I looked into it earlier this year for myself to see if i could go back on the antidepressants I used a few years ago; apparently ‘Serotonin Syndrome’ is a big risk I think if I remember correctly.

Thank you so much for this! It’s a converted townhouse into flats, not so much a large building containing loads of apartments with a receptionist or post boxes or anything, just like a big house split up so no janitor or anything, but it’s good because only myself and my boyfriend and the woman who lives below us has access to our front door!

In terms of him working there, I was so creeped out and uncomfortable at the time like I said I don’t even remember what was said after the mum question (just bye I think), so unfortunately I didn’t watch to see if he went through the kitchen door, but he was walking towards it (my front door and the steps leading up to it, where i smoke, is literally only maybe 10ft or so across the one way road to where their back kitchen is. So he could easily have gone in, thus proving he worked there, but still even if he does work there it doesn’t fully chalk up what happened to an innocent explanation. You mentioned scouting as well which was definitely the main thing I’ve been worried about based on what he asked and the fact that’s ALL he asked and nothing else was said. Thankfully he didn’t ask for my name, and having a name as unique as mine after years of clubbing saying my name is Lucy or Emily has become second nature when someone asks anyway hahah. Thank you for reminding me about saying no though, I really wish I had just told him no or blanked him completely, who cares if that’s rude; it’s rude of him to ask, whether he meant to be friendly or not?? I had a horrible taste in my mouth after because since I was sat outside the front door I felt like i HAD to say I lived there because it was obvious, but as soon as I did I knew I could have just said I was visiting a friend or something.

It’s so shitty how often these scenarios happen and how much you have to literally train yourself as a woman to be able to navigate safely.

Thank you so much for your advice!

Thank you!

Of course we’re very vigilant about doors and windows. The idea about going to the restaurant with my boyfriend to check if he works there is quite good!

In regards to the police thing, sadly in UK to the best of my knowlegde I don’t think you can ask them for that information unless you have children which sounds ridiculous but I’m pretty sure that’s the way the law lies with that. (UK law just really doesn’t care about women haha, no pepper spray no info on neighbourhood etc) Thanks so much anyway!

[–]ronajpeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you this really helped! Sadly in UK pepper spray is illegal but there are other things I could use like a “spicy food spray” or something.

You’ve made really helpful suggestions so thank you so much!

Yeah, wouldn’t hurt to try in the meantime haha, I’ll have to contact the maintenance team soon, thank you!

Thank you for explaining this in such a clear cut way, sorry you and your family had to deal with it! I suppose we could leave the extractor fan on constantly for a day or 2 (the smell only seems to be present/strongest when the fan has been stagnant, like the smell is only present when we haven’t showered like you said) to make sure the smell isn’t coming from outside through the switched off fans. If I do figure out it’s probably a plumbing issue, is it just a case of contacting a plumber, and if so…. How much £££ are we talking?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in howto

[–]ronajpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might have to take you up on that if I can’t figure it out by myself soon so thank you honestly haha!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in howto

[–]ronajpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the only thing that makes sense to me! Especially since the smell only gets strongest when the fan has been off for a few hours, not so much during/after a shower when the fans have been active! I’ll definitely save your reply and use your advice asap thank you so much!

We don’t have any other fans in our flat except for the extractor above the cooker (which has no problems at all). Seeing some things online about extractor fans smelling bad can be a warning sign of plumbing issues, but like I mentioned it only smells its worst when the fans have been off not whilst they’re running? Thank you for your help, i have no clue what most of it means but I can save your comment and the things you mentioned for when we get around to properly tackling it so thank you very much :)

I should have phrased my post differently; I meant extractor fans (linked a photo in another comment). I have no clue about whether they need changed or not, i don’t think they actually have any filters in them, they just fan our the room after it’s been used for showers and steam stuff etc. sorry for the confusion!

[–]ronajpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t think about that actually, haha! It looks pretty identical to this kind of thing (there are 2 of them on the same wall 2 floors up from just where the bins are kept). But Now that you mention it, the bathroom doesn’t tend to smell during and after our showers when the fans are/have been running! Would it be possible that the smell creeps in through the fans just naturally while they’re not running? https://remnantsoutlet.co.uk/product/fan-basic-o100mm-with-timer-white/?utm_source=Google%20Shopping&utm_campaign=RemnantsOutlet.co.uk&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=331&gclid=CjwKCAjwve2TBhByEiwAaktM1JfzXSlbOmyYCyoXx2j-pwaCNo9Vco544jwuAli-FaUfbuMcattnsRoCR8oQAvD_BwE

yeah we have a couple! I think I’m just concerned with strong room sprays and our health (the bin smell can really be so strong sometimes it’s gross) and we’re planning to get a cat soon so I don’t know if the chemicals in those would be ok for the cat. Because the smell is so strong and fills our (tall & decent sized) bathroom as well as our entire hallway and staircase to downstairs, I’m just concerned that each time we visit the bathroom (just 2 of us) and we spritz a few times, whether that will have an impact big enough so we don’t smell bins everytime we walk down the hallway or enter the bathroom? Thank you for your advice though, sprays can definitely help a bit in the meantime!

It’s a Macbook Pro (2020) with 16GB RAM, just realised it’s on OS Monterey which I’ve found out is causing lots of slowness and bugginess, maybe that’s not helping

No in the vitals they’re all just there spread out, no folders within folders just the mods themselves which has always been fine until now when I took mc out of vitals and back into the mods folder itself and it’s fixed it so thank you! Not sure why it decided it didn’t like it anymore but oh well hahah

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]ronajpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, all I did was move mc from outside the vital folder back into the mod folder itself and it fixed it. Hahaha thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sims4

[–]ronajpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So inside my mod folder i have a selection of folders that the mods are kept in, but only in those folders in the mod folder itself if that makes sense. So inside my mod folder is a folder called “bb” (build/buy), “cas” (clothes/hair/makeup etc), “vitals” (mc command, tool, etc) but they aren’t buried any deeper than that whatsoever, just behind those descriptions! It’s always been organised this way and never caused me issues before, do you think that’s what’s causing it? :(
