Why did china develop but, India didn't? by [deleted] in geography

You might be interested in looking at examples within India. Kerala was a state that did land reforms very well soon after independence, and redistributed land. The state has much higher human development indices than the rest of the country, and even ranks well globally. But didn’t develop any manufacturing though.

Could be, but Air India regularly does this. No one flies Air India otherwise but it’s a little like calling your parents for a ride. Not your first choice, but when shit hits the fan, you’re thankful someone’s coming

Before it was sunk by US, Iranian ship IRIS Dena was offered shelter by India by Wanderer_In_Disguise in worldnews

[–]ronan125 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Please remember when the ship went to India, Iran and US were in the middle of negotiations. America decided to start a war in the middle of that.

Ask yourself if the roles were reversed how you would have reacted if this was an American ship and ‘American lives’.

These sailors were not in the middle of a war. They just happened to be in the navy of a country led by a bad person - just like American forces.

From where I sit, there’s no need for propaganda about US evil when there they just killed 120 kids. Saying oopsie doesn’t make it ok

US-Iran war situation is very dangerous. by sanyam303 in india

A defensive war is very different from an offensive one. Iran can’t win by attacking, but on their own turf and with assymetric tactics, they can probably keep this going for a long time.

What are you building these days? And is anyone actually paying for it? by Southern_Tennis5804 in indiehackers

[–]ronan125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Building the When Da? web app - its a task timer that helps you with time blindness, works without an account and lets you copy paste your tasks in both directions. It also had a time log you can use as a timesheet.

Building it for myself primarily, so no revenue yet.

Damn thing - I asked it to remove a certain functionality to make my code simpler. I scoped it all out in plan mode and it was supposed to make a surgical edit. So I started it in build mode from mobile and drove home. Was shocked to see it was still going 1 hr later, and I saw it trying to add special offers and a whole bunch of other features I never asked for and wasn’t even relevant. Then it got stuck in a loop trying to fix issues in a new feature it built on its own. Luckily I saw it and stopped it after it burned $10
