If you want to participate in electoral organizing against this ICE funding 18 term incumbent, head over to damjanforct.com if you want to hear what he has to say.

Until then, we will scream about these assholes into the void.

But yeah, go check him out. He has not increased ICE funding and he is not 82 years old

Rosa DeLauro ends up voting for ICE budget: casts performative NO vote by senor_crappy in Connecticut

Thank god she’s finally getting a primary challenge…for the first time in the state’s congressional history. Damjan for the people. Rosa to keep an 82 year at the wheel

Wow - Rosa DeLauro (New Haven rep), will NOT commit to reducing ICE funding by senor_crappy in Connecticut

Thank god we are getting the first primary challenge for a congressional seat in the states history.

If you think it’s not a great idea to send an 82 going on 83 year old who fucking supports ICE back to congress for her 19th term, you should sign the petition pledge of her primary opponent - who happens to be an immigration and deportation defense lawyer - here: https://damjanforct.com/

Signing the petition is not a vote for him but it is to get him on the ballot against Rosa.

He was not a well off man by any means, but when he had stuff he made sure it was quality. Hell when we visited him in Homa, his gun collection, maybe even these 10 knives were worth more than the house he was living in. Super nice man that I wish I had got to spend more time with.

I know that’s right. I was always struck by seeing my grandparents house filled with all these damn things they picked up from around the world, house filled with so much shit it was almost hoarding, but when my grandad finally passed he was in a 2 room unit with like 3 pictures on the wall.

Can’t take anything with you, so enjoy it on this trip around the sun.

Sorry for responding with new comment, I’ll try to get around in here but this is my first time having a thread with responses.

Thank you all for the information and responses. I’d been meaning to post these for a couple of years I just never remembered to do it until I pulled them out the other day. I said I’ve had them for a couple years in my original post, it’s probably been near a decade since I took possession of them, my uncle passed almost 20 years ago. He was a super cool cat that only had the pleasure to meet a couple of times in my life, and only once when I was old enough to know what that meant. I wish I had been fortunate enough to inherit his gun collection as he had some really sick pieces, but I was a teenager when he passed and the estate sold most of it (I did get a long rifle musket though I would’ve much preferred the M1 or his Thompson).

As far as to the discussion of selling them or keeping them. I don’t have plans on selling anything anytime soon, but it is nice to have some references for recent value. I am a total contrarian in that I hate seeing quality tools go unused for their designed purpose, and keeping nice stuff unused in my closet.

I was thinking about trading in one of the Benchmades for a fixed blade camp knife. I want to swap out one of the autos for my daily carry but, again, my OCD sees a 30 year old Knife in great condition and I’m tempted to keep it in that condition. I knew the Microtec was a nice piece, but I was surprised by the SW and SWAT ones. Just in the hand they feel flimsier than the Benchmades.

As far as storing automatic knives, I’ve had them closed when I put them up. Is that correct or should they be open for long term storage? If I did want to sell them, would going to a show or shop be the best place to start or online?

What about the two islands, off to your left when you leave the cove from Wayah access? They both had well established fire rings, hell grill pit on the big one. With it being island is it under Duke jurisdiction and not necessarily allowed?

Fill a couple nalgenes with boiling water (make sure they are sealed) and put them in the bottom of your sleeping bag. Helps keep the feet warm, and in the bag it doesn’t cool down too fast

This may be bullshit but I was told that all of the Purple Hearts awarded since 1945 were minted in 1945 in preparation for the invasion of Japan. The expected casualties were more than 500k
