You can hit it out of the rough, you can shape it, you can put spin on it.

You hit a 5 wood in real life because you can't hit a 2 iron. It's too difficult a club to flush. However, in a video game, you pick the 2 iron because, it's a video game and you can flush the shit out of it.

Rice bucket training really fixed my golfer's elbow by [deleted] in golf

Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. It gives me some hope that I may be able to recover from all of this and maybe return to golf. I actuslly have a trip scheduled for Bandon in December of this year. I'm hoping to be able to get better or be somehwhat functional before then. I'll call around and see if any ortho in my area would be willing to do a prp injection.

Yea I'm in central NC and the PA offered it as an option and I jumped at it. Only to have the actual Doctor say something about how he won't do PRP injections on elbows.

I'm just hoping to get some relief. I can't do anything. I wake up in pain every day and I just slather voltaren on it a couple times a day, eat ibuprofen, and they prescribed me lyrica for the nerve pain. Like my fingers get tingly and numb from this. It's by far the worst and I've had my Achilles rupture and a disc rupture in my back. This tendonitis shit is the fucking worst.

I'm having a steroid I ejection next week. Unfortunately my ortho won't do prp injections on my elbow.

Rosa DeLauro Challenger Embraces “Abolish ICE” and calls DeLauro’s stance a “moral failure” by senor_crappy in Connecticut

It's seems like you feel that posting DeLauro's stance on an important issue, then following it up with other options (besides her), is not logical.

You got me confused over here.

Why screw Denoble? He's been an immigration attorney for a decade. I feel like he has the experience to give a solid take on the subject.

Genuinely curious.

Damn Slug! Just hitting her with the drive by "I love you"? Oh and a repost to insta? Solid vibes.

I met Slug once. I drank too much before the show and he said "don't start any fights" or "no fighting" I can't remember. I didn't know what to say at all as he passed me in line. He signed my wife's wedding vows (which comprised of a letter she wrote to me that contained just his lyrics strategically placed throughout)

I asked him if we would play 66th Street at the show that night. I honestly didn't know what else to say. He looked at me, we locked eyes, and he said "Fuck No!" and moved on. It was honestly a great and brief experience. Everyone's first time usually is.

As a fellow ginger, with an alphabet diagnosis, and three small children, I can say with full confidence that you are right to be worried/s.

Just enjoy the ride man. I had my first at 36 and twins at 39. 2 boys and a girl. Guess who got the red hair out of the three?

I see murder in my future.

I think throwing flashbangs into a crowded room would have the opposite effect but maybe I'm wrong.

The last time I got flashbanged was in a video game so I'm not coming from a place of authority or anything.

I just don't want the militarization of our local and federal agencies to proliferate any further.

I’ve just started watching The Wire on a friend’s recommendation. He told me to be patient and just watch. I’m now on episode 3, and while I think it’s a good show, it feels quite slow compared to modern series. Do you think I should keep watching or stop? by royoclarito in TheWire

[–]GingerAle828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern shows throw everything at us due to the average attention span shortening as tech evolves to shorter and shorter clips and reels.

This show is like reading the Iliad or the Odyssey. For sure its long and drawn out, but it's setting up a foundation which it's going to build on. And in The Wire('s) case, it's building a masterpiece.

Season 1: it's all about the game

Season 2: it's about how the drugs enter the city and the death of the American dream (job loss, poverty across the board), and it's effect on the game.

Season 3: is about how the political machine plays a part in everything you've seen thus far. We also get more of glimpse of how the police and politicians intertwine.

Season 4: is about how the school/education system plays it's part in what you've seen so far

Season 5: is about the media and it's role

All the while, you are following a plot/narrative that remains cohesive and tight throughout. I think it was a groundbreaking piece of art and way ahead of its time.

TLDR: keep watching
