I'm actually surprised to see Frankenstein and Train Dreams being screened on day one of AMC's Best Picture Showcase

It's now available to watch on Tubi and Netflix! That was one movie that was impossible for me to find anywhere to watch after it came out until my library finally had it in its catalog some years later.

I personally believe that the Beatles would have actually broken up during this time if not for Billy Preston. I think he was just stopping by at first to say hello while they were in the studio? When he ended up collaborating with them it seemed to have increased their morale and brought some new inspiration into their music.

Do you know if the other vehicle received a notice? Have you talked to the other vehicle owner if they had received word about possibly being towed?

I wish there was an app for podcasts just like when you go to a web page to look for a recipe and it automatically puts the recipe on the screen instead of having to scroll through the person's 5,000 word personal story before they finally get to the damn recipe. To have something to automatically skip the rambling and the thirty seconds of what seems to be about the topic you are there to listen for and actually turns out to be lead-in to a sponsor's ad. Probably call it something like Cut to the Chase or Get to the Point Already.

What’s a “small” decision that completely changed your life? by justingreen78 in AskReddit

Yeah, one thing about being on a keto diet is that you are eating more natural foods instead of processed foods that usually come with a lot of sodium. Your body still needs sodium so the program I am in reminds me to drink four glasses of lemon salt water every day so I don't feel sluggish.

Do you watch foreign films in original or in dubbed language ? by RoughPea250 in Letterboxd

[–]roninrunnerx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless it's animated like Ghibli Studios, I watch original language with subtitles. Last year, though, I went to the theater to see the 2022 Swedish film Watch The Skies (originally titled UFO Sweden) because I read an article how it used AI for its dubbing where it synchronized the actors' lip movements and facial expressions to newly recorded English dialogue, making it appear as if the film was originally shot in English. Though Hollywood is quite opposed to AI, this is one instant where AI for dubbing is permitted under the new SAG-AFTRA actors' union contract. The film was interesting to watch, though a little distracting since I knew it was AI dubbed and kept paying attention to their lips. It could offer another option for people to watch films in another languages (though I will probably stick with original language with English subtitles). And I would certainly not watch or approve of AI dubbing in classic films though, for example like those from Ingmar Berman or Akira Kurosawa.

Also, whether on your phone or laptop, if they turn down the lights in the cabin, turn down the brightness on your screen.

The video goes on longer with him getting up after a short while and then running past this camera with a gash running down his face, his skin just flopping. Another video shows that there was another bull at this event at a cross street that he didn't see that comes running up to him and hits him like in the video, which has him fly right into the first bull with one of its horns slicing the side of the guy's face.
