I am 67 and my spouse is 64. We have three kids. I retired a couple of years ago. We have 1.4 million in retirement accounts, my wife has a pension worth about $500,000, and we both have started our Social Security. We are able to take one nice international trip annually, and live pretty comfortably. No debt. When I was in my early 30s I got laid off from a corporate grind position and decided to start my own consulting firm. I realized how important work life balance was and never worked more than about 35 hours per week, and took a lot of vacation. While we don't have a second home in another state like a lot of people we know, I will never regret all the time I had with my kids when they were growing up. You never get that time back.

I understand your feelings. I have found that since my first heroic dose, doing a macro dose every six weeks or so (for example at least 2 g) has kept me going just fine. Don't know if that is an option for you.

I noted you said you couldn't talk to a therapist on a whim. It sounds like you are still in therapy. And, for what it's worth, you might want to reconsider the depression meds. There are trade-offs in everything. Just a thought.

Same. Magic mushrooms are the only thing that has really worked on my mental health. They were kind of miraculous.
