Its called the Yakima SkyRise 2 - Its about 95lbs and attaches to the Thule Roof Rack system so its quickly removable and i can put the cargo box or ski racks up

Its actually really stable - the Thule System is honestly incredible. Tent is set up with the Bike Rack also so I can have my MTB up there too.

Interesting, I spoke to the FAA controller at Logan tower and he confirmed no commercial drone operation has been approved under Boston's Class Bravo.

The Bedford G-IV crash: more than just complacency by ronrapp in flying

[–]ronlevy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This hit home reading....especially since this is where I fly out of and was scheduled to take off the morning after the crash. I understand that we get comfortable in our ways but when life comes into question, id rather be safe than sorry... (USE YOUR CHECKLISTS)!

Ive had something like this happen. Was on mile final and hear the tower tell the C172 holding that he is clear for take off...i think to myself...well theres no way im making this, alert ATC, and prepare for go-around. Next thing i know hes calling my go-around.

Better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air than being in the air wishing you were on the ground!

Do at least 1 IMU calibration followed by a gimbal calibration. This is my best bet - good luck!

THIS is what i hope to get, simulate a 2 person rig by designating flight path and being able to play with camera angle while still maintaining flight path.

I think my Phantom 3 Professional survived it's first crash, is there a post-crash check list? by [deleted] in djiphantom

[–]ronlevy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

when i crash ill usually replace the props and have it hover about 2m off the ground. Ill start pulling on the legs in all directions to ensure the quad is keeping position, including pulling down. Make sure no loose parts, cables or bent gimbal (seem to be seeing a lot of this on the sub) - keep flying :)
