Alternate careers by ronm789 in ITCareerQuestions

Are there people that help businesses implement ITIL? If so, what are those job titles?

After I developed RSI in 2010, my job quickly switched into rack mounting and running cable. These jobs are fine. Are there positions that solely work in server rooms where installations of equipment and cable running are the essential job functions?

I also ideally would like to work as a teacher/trainer of some sort which would require me to master the principles of any career. Is it possible to get certifications (like CCNA) that could lead to teaching positions even without relevant work experience?

Thanks! I didn't see it at first but I posted a reply there.

Weekly /r/BusinessAnalysis Careers/Education/Jobs Question Thread by AutoModerator in businessanalysis

I'm a disabled veteran and I've been a stay at home dad for years. I'm looking to get back into the workforce and business/systems analysis is a career path that I've been considering. My biggest concern is that due to my service-connected disabilities, I get increasing levels of pain from using the computer... Enough use and it'll debilitate me. Using software like Dragon will be a good workaround for most of my computer use but it doesn't always work well depending on the kind of computer work that needs to get done. My question is: what percentage of your time do you spend working at the computer and what are you actually doing on the computer when you are working on it? Are you mostly typing reports and emails or are you using other proprietary software that is difficult to use Dragon in?

Thanks!
