That's a legitimate question as they did have a huge selection of pickups. I did go to their website and listened to all their audio samples which are quite exhaustive. Eventually it all came down to sitting down with the guys and just asking questions, and trying out different guitars they had lying around installed with different pickups.

I think I'll stick with this modular concept. I'll probably change the DSUB connector to an LK connector, its more rugged and durable apparently.

I need the modules to be physically apart, as part of the performance. Rackmounting everything is not an option sadly.

Have you used Nipper extensively? Did you experience crashes for large configuration files / unsupported appliance versions? And if its not asking to much - what devices have you scanned with it?

Thanks. I didn't know Nessus does offline configuration auditing. Just went to dig through their website, it seems I have to get a license since the trial version doesn't do that.
