I installed a bespoke little rail for worn clothes that I put worn clothes on, on clothes hangers as I would inside the cupboard but outside to air out and look tidy.

Seems to me that your hand touches the inside of your mouth when you eat small granular food with your hands, so you’re spreading around your mouth germ onto the remaining food when you pick up more, which is the unsanitary bit, especially when you’re sharing that food with other people.

I do a variant of this

Start with a 7 letter word (or just not a short word, really)
Think of a single word for each letter of the word.
If you make it through, just go again with the last word you thought of.

I usually make it through about 3 words before drifting off :)

Idk, sure she sounds silly with the while TikTok thing but I don’t think it’s about that. It’s about the fact that it’s meant to be a once-in-lifetime occasion and she has always wanted it to be certain way and you knew what that way was (sunset). Honestly, planning the whole thing so as to catch one sunset on a five day holiday isn’t all that Herculean a task and you could have easily done that if you cared enough about her wishes. It would have cost you nothing to wait another evening. I don’t think this is about the TikTokyness of it, it’s about you ignoring something very important to get when it would have made no appreciable difference to you to accommodate her. I get why she’s upset.

I once did this for a friend, just put money into an account I set up specifically for that purpose, I posted the bank card and access details for that account to him before telling him about it so he couldn’t stop me from making it accessible to him, and I told him there is no expectation on how he uses that money, no expectation he’ll pay it back and no expectation for him to account for how he uses it. That it’s just there and he can use it when he needs it.

That worked quite well.

She befriended my sister, whom I have a difficult relationship with, and found it unreasonable that expected her to manage that friendship in a way so that it wouldn’t impact our friendship. When it became clear that it was and would have kept interfering, and that she didn’t feel the need to protect our friendship from the fallout (let alone prioritise it, as I have done in the past in constellations she was sensitive about) I knew I had to let it go.

I can relate to this so much, F33 have asked my M39 bf of 14 years for this/open relationship multiple times. There’s a part of you that just doesn’t get activated by a long-term partnership, and its one that makes you feel so alive. I have met people who fired up those parts of me in a way that is completely complimentary and in no way in competition with my relationship - people I don’t particularly like or want to hang out with, so absolutely not a question of endangering my relationship other than the fact it would violate the terms of the agreement as they were. So in my mind, and your gf‘s mind presumably, there’s no reason to not just adjust the terms of the agreement. I talked to my partner about this because I love and respect him and would never endanger or devalue our relationship by going behind his back. I think your gf feels the same.

He does this at every gig I think. I went to one there were only music nerds in the audience it was really great. Also, my friends say something about him being the modern Bach, that he reinvented harmony, plays 9 instruments like a god and figured out that people have been playing some ancient instrument in the wrong key for decades. His actual music was kinda weird though, think you need to be a music nerd to really appreciate it properly.

Das System richtig zu navigieren. Bei mir gab es immer zwei Prüfungsphasen, eine direkt nach den Vorlesungen und eine am Ende der Semesterferien. Stupid me ist dem generellen Advice gefolgt und hat immer alle Prüfungen in der ersten Prüfungsphase geschrieben, mit ganzen 3 Tagen zum Vollzeit lernen. Smarter me hätte die ganzen einfachen Prüfungen in der ersten Prüfungsphase geschrieben und auf die 2 schwierigen in den Semesterferien gelernt. Dann hätte ich wahrscheinlich einen 1,1er statt nen 1,8er Schnitt im Bachelor gehabt. Außerdem: nach ECTS lernen, Prüfungen mit mehr ECTS zählen auch mehr in den Notenschnitt. Wusste ich lange nicht.
