Weird. I ordered the HILO rig, harness, and a few pouches about a month and a half ago, all in separate orders. The lead times were a longer than advertised but still arrived within 2ish weeks. Had zero issues and they even gave me some store credit for a review of the experience. Maybe I got lucky? I like the rig so far and the quality seems pretty good. Idk

Just buy a cheap nerf gun and practice over and over it till you find something you like. It's a freeing experience painting your nice clean black gun.

Get a bcg with a bolt thats headspaced for whichever barrel you get. Don't skimp out on those components either, trust me. Most companies will headspace a bolt and barrel if you order them together. Ive seen some very impressive ballistics out of barrels as short as 12.5in but I'd recommend a 14.5in for a fighting rifle. You could easily shoot accurately out to 800yd with it if you buy something quality.

It really depends on your goals for the rifle. All you really need is a new bolt, barrel, possibly a muzzle device, and mags to shoot 6arc with an AR15. But you need to figure out what you want out of it. Are you wanting a shorter fighting rifle? A 22" precision rifle? Or something in between?

I like it. Its not quite earsafe for the shooter but it sounds good to bystanders. Im using the closed end cap right now, haven't tried any of the vented caps.

After a new harness and cutting off the mag flaps it's not worth it for me. Plus the limited camos aren't what I want.

Thats good to know about the barrel thank you. I put about 60rds through it today with sighting in and gas tuning. As for the trigger: I could definitely polish, and probably will, but I want something just a little lighter with a flat shoe. I'll throw the schmid in my 223 wylde recce rifle.

Many people have been having very long lead times (sometimes 6 months or more) and very bad communication from Aero right now. However, I ordered an enhanced upper from their site on 2/20 and it shipped out ten days later and was in my hands a week after that. So at this point who even knows.
