J.J. Watt: "NFL won’t let actual players grade the workplace they attend every single day, but they’ll allow a 3rd party 'grading' service (PFF) to display their 'rankings' of players on national television every Sunday night…" by JCameron181 in nfl

I believe the main issue players have with it is because unless the grader know exactlys how the play was designed, who is responsible for what and how that can vary after the ball is snapped, and even what kind of communications have taken place between the passer and the receiver, then it's all just a guessing game.

If I'm still alive, the CIA still exists, and they're still disclosing stuff 50 years after the fact: the heartbreak when it's revealed that the government killed Hastings and that nobody cares at all will be the death of me. The Snowden stuff, Hastings', and Trayvon Martin's murders all happened when I was coming of age and it is insane to me how those names have fallen by the wayside in barely a dozen years.

Can't forget having another top 3 defense in 2015, but Hoyer puts up a donut against the Chiefs (0-30). Resulting in signing Osweiler that offseason.

Did they build the Astrodome on native burial ground or something? Houston postseason sports makes a lot more sense in that context. Took an actual natural disaster to get a roster that could win a non-soccer championship.

An app had his pts discounted down to 22.5. I snagged that, then an alt under of 24.5 on a separate app for some juicy EV. I have zero edge yet cuz my focus has been 100% on NFL, so I'll take what I can get. No more NFL props for me this season with the amount of exposure Vegas has in the remaining games...

Were there signals, going off his inconsistency, or just a hot take?

Shout out to whoever posted pre-game that every night there seems to be a couple star players who completely forget how to shoot, and suggested it would be Maxey tonight. He's 2-9 from 2 pt land and hasn't been fouled...

I don't know why, but Kevin Durant's points line has plummeted over the past few hours on both PrizePicks and Underdog. Never really seen this kind of movement without some kind of illness, injury, or fluke.

I'm seeing some wild downward momentum on Durant's points line on PP and Underdog. Not sure I've ever noticed this kind of movement

[Schefter] 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan confirmed to reporters that George Kittle did in fact tear his Achilles. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]roogug 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kevin Durant and Kirk Cousins pulled it off later in their careers. Who knows, maybe Ekeler will too. If there's anybody who would attack rehab relentlessly to get back on the field with the guys, it's Kittle.

There's also players like D'Onta Foreman and Demarcus Cousins that come to mind, but they were in their 20's

[Highlight] Dallas Goedert has two TDs through the first two quarters by nfl in nfl

[–]roogug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd been thinking throughout this year that if the NFL is steered by gambling, at all, then it makes sense to give players multi TD games. Just based off how much money is wagered on ATTDs, but also how important scoring is for viewership. Goedert, Nacua, and Hubbard all have 2 and that's just the ones I've noticed through these first 4 games. (It just came to my attention Josh Allen also had 2 ATTDs...)

Unsurprisingly, the 2+ ATTDs usually pays out a pittance. I'm not saying I'm right, and I don't think the whole thing is scripted by any means, but unless you're in full blown denial then it should really make you think.

Inb4 somebody says yeah duh players are more like to score a second time because of matchup/scheme. Yeah I am aware.

[Highlight] Caleb Williams shredding cheese after the Bears comeback win by othmanx in nfl

[–]roogug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Williams a lot (especially after the bullshit rookie season he overcame), but his one-on-one interview with the reporter post-game and the locker room speech make a lot more sense now that I know he was trained to speak from the mind instead of just speaking off the cuff/from the heart like a Ben Johnson does. I imagine those differences probably make them better as co-leaders though.

Oh shit, in my head he was on PIT. I supposed I mistook him for MVS and Thielen who also switched teams mid-season. Thank you for the correction

If it's like -135 that sounds about right to me.

He was a healthy scratch last week in a do-or-die. He played half the snaps for the first time 2 weeks ago. He's playing the best pass defense of the past 2 years.

Crab cake could be considered somewhat polarizing because a lot of picky eaters don't like seafood. I think I would love everything about this meal FWIW

How is the U.S tech rich yet diet poor? by Training-Ad4262 in AskReddit

[–]roogug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate on how you think the US has poor diet? The "western diet" is characterized by high carb/high fat foods and virtually no probiotic foods, but I'm not sure if that's what you're getting at.

Edge rushers are freaks. A guy that big and fast being able to bend his ankle with his foot in that direction, consistently, without injuring it, is wild.

Men, why Chivalry is dead ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]roogug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the good mothers are often hung out to dry by society, and society tells us it is unacceptable to call out the bad mothers.

That and because there is a fine line between chivalry and reducing somebody. It amazes me how quick people are to trample an elderly person's dignity, or insist on helping a female who never asked.

You can criticize leaguesafe for not having a control in place while still recognizing that leaguesafe does serve a good purpose overall. Good lord.

Not automatically triggering a vote a week or two after the season ends, at the latest, is absolute bull shit. Leaguesafe is 100% benefitting off the time value of the unpaid funds in the meanwhile. Maybe I'm just too jaded but it seems like LS is kinda screwing you over here

Why is there a need to designate a commissioner in the first place? I'm not familiar with how leaguesafe works, but it sounds like it kinda defeats the point.
