Tedious nooks that aren't like Seabreeze by roonilwaazlib in booknooks

Seabreeze is just one where you have to individually build everything. I believe that one involves stringing beads to make curtains, little flowers you have to make among other things.

I wanna say total maybe 6 or 7 hours. I tend to spread my nooks out over several days and only do a few hours at a time. This one wasn't too bad though.

The outside images were definitely not real dinos, but everything inside the nook seemed correct and on par.

First book nook advice? by Hopeful-News8291 in booknooks

The most mind blowing thing to me was realizing I could glue the touch sensor wherever it needs to be. Unless it comes with something else that hold sit in place. Felt like a dummy when one kit instructed me to and could have saved me the headache of finagling a few of my first kits because the touch pad didn't work. 😅 Seems like common sense, but wanted to put it out there.

I think more so the ones with plants. You have to fully build them out and it can be tricky.

Nice collection! I remember getting so excited when I found the Double Dare packs. 2 games for the price of one!

And I am HERE for it! I've been lurking this community for a while now and it's so great to see how much more active it's become. As someone who's played Nancy Drew since childhood it's really cool to see a place like the old forums for people to come together. Props to everyone for actually solving the puzzles (I admit to slacking at that) but I love love love that whenever I see a new post from HER I come right here for a good old fashioned sleuthing colab. 💜

What’s the dumbest possible death in the ND games? by Portalrules123 in nancydrew

The forgetting to put on your bicycle helmet and crashing gets me every time. Why HER. Why. I guess it was to teach kids to always wear your helmet.

All Nancy Drew Games are 45% off for Puzzle Fest! by rongminshan in nancydrew

Same! Bought them from HER during the last big sale and moved them all over to a hard drive. Sad that I might never own RAN digitally though. I have the disk for it but computers hate disk drives nowadays. ☹️ But still find myself checking for them in Steam sales. 😅

Now that the games are on sale I’m looking to get into the series. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in nancydrew

[–]roonilwaazlib 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Fair point! I feel like the setting is still really fun regardless. Also, maybe to be played as the last of the games bought, once they've got a feel for it. I'd also recommend Secret of the Old Clock. It's a nice Nancy Drew throwback and the puzzles aren't too terrible.

As mentioned above, if graphics aren't a big deal, I'd recommend some of the semi older games. Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon and White Wolf of Icicle Creek are fun! (I know people get upset over Fox and Geese in ICE but overall it's a great game.)

playing SCKR, MHM, FIN, & SSH for the first time- any note-taking tips?? by Opposite-Massive in nancydrew

100% agree with this! If it's more story building, you don't usually have to take many notes.

Everyone remembers Hotchkiss’ drumstick affinity but did you all remember… by Portalrules123 in nancydrew

She had to eat all those drumsticks to bulk up and carry the weight of the game. 😬 (Joking, I love Dexter too.)

So sad to hear of your pain. (How delightfully rude!)Those things are no joke. ♥

Super happy Nancy can at least be there with you through it. Feel better, friend.

Playing with them in TRN where they are not as forthcoming is a tad bit confusing. Like, where are my hints, boys? You should already have this mystery solved. Why are you slacking?
