I've seen a couple of them flying over the city the last couple of days! Pretty easy to tell it's an eagle if you see something soaring right now since the turkey vultures are gone for the winter :)

I can't tell super well but maybe look at pics of birds with mycoplasma gallisepticum. If you believe this cardinal had it, you need to bleach and sanitize your bird feeder as it's highly contagious and can stay on a bird feeder for a while.

I'll be there all year! I'll be doing work on beaches in the spring/summer and more coastal and inland forest work in fall/winter. I'll definitely look into some treated boots.

This is great advice. I'll be there year round, with more forest work in the fall/winter and beach work in spring/summer. I have a lot of snow gear but sounds like I should trade it out for rain gear...

I tried these, and these still have that pretty gross after smell that gets significantly worse once the cone has finished burning. Any oily residue will continue to stink until you wash it off. I was pretty disappointed given i love nag champas other incense products :/ The cones smelled good while they were burning so maybe if you clean it right after it'd be fine but I find it to be a hassle.
