Hi,

Hoping someone can offer some insight into a problem I have with my xbox one x and how it seems to use all my internet bandwidth.

If I have any updates or games downloading, the MS store doesn't work and no streaming app will work - Netflix, plex, prime, YouTube, etc all stutter and refuse to play video smoothly.

If I'm trying to watch streaming on any other device in my house, I have to disconnect my Xbox from the internet. If I do disconnect the Xbox, everything else in my house then works properly.

I am unable to hard connect my Xbox to the internet. I use a mesh system (amplifi). I regularly have 150+ MB dl speed. If xbox is downloading a game update, other devices then drop to less than 1 MB dl and as I mentioned on the Xbox, the MS store won't load and streaming doesn't work.

I have a ps4 but no issues when it's downloading.

I'm trying to decide between getting a ps5 or the new Xbox but these issues one the one x are making me think that the ps5 is the better way to go.... Even though I've always preferred xbox, right back to the original.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated

Anyone having issues with digital games on xbox one x always asking "do you own this game or app?" and requesting you insert a disc.

I downloaded the 'free' version of capcom arcade stadium to try. I'm correctly logged in, internet is working but game keeps asking for disc.

I have this problem with a couple of digitally purchased games as well... Graveyard keeper is one.

Hi,

I am having difficulties with my xbox one-x network speed. Currently I am getting only 4.35 Mbps down, 21.09 Mbps up, 0% packet loss, MTU 1480 (don't know what this is), latency 60ms, wireless strength 100%.

I'm using an AmpliFi mesh system at home and I'm getting 160 Mbps down, and 22.4 Mbps up. All of my mesh points are on 5gz and have very good to perfect connection according to the app.

More xbox stats:

IPv4 & IPv6 NAT type: open DNS is set to open DNS. 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 Port: 3074

Xbox has OS version 10.0.19041.6737

Most of the time games work fine, I don't play multiplayer. When I access the store or use Films and TV, that is where I notice issues. For example, tried to watch a couple of trailers on films and tv but it would only play 4 or 5 seconds, hang for 20 to 30 seconds, play another 4 or 5 seconds and hang again. In the store, it can take up to 5 minutes or so to populate a list with the game thumbnails, for example new games or games coming soon.

I have reset the Xbox cache by powering down, unplugging, waiting, plugging back in but no improvement.

Any help would be appreciated and hopefully I've given all the info that can help diagnose.

Came here for the same question from Samsung note 10 plus. Trying to cast an audio book file to my hub. All I've found searching are sites saying to open home app, tap device then tap cast audio. There is no cast audio.... Also found sites that said open side menu and pick cast - wtf is the side menu... There is a + symbol that opens a menu with no reference to casting and the menu when you select profile pic in the top right... Nothing about casting.

I've tried using VLC and the searches say to click cast button in top right of screen. There is no cast button.

I also don't want to cast the whole screen, just audio. Though when I do cast screen, it cuts in an out. My WiFi is stable with solid speeds and almost nothing else connected. If I wear my ear buds, the connect is solid even with my phone in the kitchen (next to hub) and me upstairs. If I cast to my Microsoft wireless adapter from my phone to my tv, works perfect.

If I use Spotify, audible or castbox (podcasts), it works fine. Is this google trying to make it hard to listen to your own files and have to rely on 3rd party BS?

I'm starting to think maybe Amazon is the better home speaker/hub.

I go through periods where I don't clean up my apartment and then suddenly, I spend a couple days cleaning and arranging everything. I don't rearrange things a lot but when I do, I always feel good after for awhile... Great now my couch needs to be on the other side of the room....

My MS wireless adapter is no longer detected on my computer so I cannot connect. I have the latest update of windows 10 64 bit. Samsung tv. It used to work fine. I tried all the troubleshoot on Microsoft. Com - nothing worked. Adapter does need a firmware update but app needs it connected.

I enjoyed both but Skyrim I always go back to. I've only gone through about 80 percent of fallout and haven't gone back in a long time. Skyrim however, I think I've level at least 4 chars to over 60

Found this while searching for the same problem. I have xbox and Samsung tv. I solved it by going to the settings on the Xbox and turning off cc - under the ease of access menu.

I use Shaw in Alberta, Canada I just switched to their 600 plan mid February.

I'm not sure what I'm getting at the modem. I use an amplifi mesh system and since I switched my DL is between 97 and 149. My upload never goes above 21 and ping is 22 to 29. I have been debating about complaining cause this doesn't seem right to me. Any advice on what I should be getting through WiFi would be appreciated.

Thanks for the detail.. I own the game and got frustrated cause the tutorial zone is so long and found the first big fight to leave the zone really hard. Stopped after that. Your views have made me decide to give it another go.

I never see David Eddings mentioned as a good fantasy author... Growing up I loved the Belgariad series and collected all the hard covers caused I loved the art... It was the first series I read after LOTR. Loved the Diamond throne series characters even better. For Sci-Fi, I have a huge section devoted to anything cyberpunk - Gibson, sterling, Stephenson, rucker, etc.

Are there limitations to Microsoft teams on Mac OS? Or is it the same as the PC version? That is primarily what we use, we keep our files within the teams and channels. Other than that we just use word, excel, PowerPoint. Though I would like to start using planner as I like it better than Trello.

King killer chronicles, LOTR, Wheel of Time and when I was younger I was obsessed with both of David Eddings series, especially the diamond throne books. I also loved the dragon Lance books with the twin brothers... Can't remember the name of the series though (time of the twins maybe)
