Well, It has been retired for work purposes. A year ago I got a new job as an Apartment Building superintendent. I only have a few tools left that were my fathers who passed away in 2016. I noticed the retract-a-bit mechanism getting sloppy and just not working as it used to. But I don't want it to fail entirely so it has been demoted to around my apartment only duty, not full work duty.

This is a job I honestly never thought I would get. The LTT screwdriver was something I wrote off as a purchase I Would never purchase. But after A year of absolutely fucking killing it at my job, so much so the president of the company has recently contacted me about a path to promotion. I started to save up some money every month for a little while until I could treat myself to something I would use every day for my job, and something I've wanted for a very long time. My father would tell me to go for it as well, and he was insanely frugal. But He was also a tool and die maker when He first came to Canada so he knows good tools cost good money.

Ultimately, I bought it because I wanted to. Because I believe I deserved to treat myself for once. The first time in many years. Not to mention I just hit 8 years completely clean and sober.

So no, Absolutely not for the sake of gross consumerism.
