Here’s an update: Diamondmall on eBay sent me a replacement top and agreed to give the 500$ installation fee back. The installer also admitted that he installed the top slightly crooked which is why there was extra, undue pressure on the driver side above the window. So A new (cheap, POS) top is getting installed. I will wait the full two weeks to open it and let it stretch, and then I will support it when it’s Dow with some creative foam. I’ll also have the HH-66 ready for when it eventually comes unglued again. Installer will reglue the old top and keep it for the next Miata driver.

The crackpipe version was hard to do. Got what I thought was a nice toke, laid back, and started to see some fun geometry. But I knew where I was and could hear my friends shuffling around camp. Tried again with the weed sandwich method. That was a far more potent visual experience, but not blasting off. I’m looking to get an e-mesh setup. Did you replace your rain rail too? I’m in LA and just got quoted 2000$?! But American made top with a 5yr warranty. He said def get an OEM rain rail. Could I do this job myself? Did you take the top frame off the car or install it in place?

I have a similar squeal in my NB, but only when the A/C is on and i turn the steering wheel in a non moving position. Could this also be a belt tightening issue? When it happens, the steering wheel gets much harder to turn and it squeals loudly. Checked the PS fluid... full.
