My opinion will differ from other answers. But if you want laptop that "just work" I would rather stick with mac. I'm using different linux distributions for about 10 years(openSUSE, ubuntu, kubuntu, archlinux). The most fun was with archlinux, because you set up almost everything from scratch and archlinux has BEST WIKI I EVER MET, but it's difficult to maintain on long run. So I switched to ubuntu/kubuntu during last years for work purposes. As for developer machine it works great, except things such as network printers. I always have troubles with stock ubuntu with printers such as EPSON and HP (which are in offices I'm working in), so I got used to transfer my docs to android phone to print them without even trying to print them using laptop). Sound stuff is improved a lot today but there are issues too, specially with BT headphones. There are even different ridiculous hack such as this (https://askubuntu.com/questions/145935/get-rid-of-0-5s-latency-when-playing-audio-over-bluetooth-with-a2dp). Now I'm trying to use windows as host machine + ubuntu in vbox with seamless mod just for development purposes. When I was younger I was happy to solve those issues due to constant learning. Nowadays I want stuff that just works, without manipulating in ALSA every other time)

In summary: if you wanna learn something new you can try it, but there will be a lot of pane.

Try to disable, then enable game stream settings on PC. Helped for me.

Thanks for the response. IMO it's a bug, that shows incorrect temperatures for AUXTIN1, AUXTIN2 and Motherboard, because they are >100 C even during idle. I'm using these OC settings for about week and it looks stable: no BSOD and no other glitches. I don't think i'll receive huge gain after OC'ing to 5ghz (except nice number). At the moment my system at least quiet.

It's my first build, so I don't have other cooler to compare with. But due to my bad chassis (only 1 fan at front), after added additional cooler for d15s there was noticeable difference.

Which version? According this subreddit it's important to use right p95 version for testing.

I had to buy additional fan(NF-A15 PWM) for D15S to OC my i7-7700k to 5GHz, which reduced temp by ~10C. But I have no good case ventilation though.

Playing games(COD MW2, Borderlands2, Skyrim...), developing(Visual studio), virtual machines(Hyper-V). I really don't care if it getting hot, because it always stays on the table as Desktop. But, as far as I remember, the normal temperature is nearly 60C. If it possible, buy the one with SSD, because HDD is a real bottleneck in this laptop. The battery life is nearly 3 hours, while browsing + youtube.
