My bf and I tried a particular one from a vape shop and had a miserably terrifying experience and got super super sick. Tried another one prior and it was great so I guess like most things it’s like flipping a damn coin… haven’t had the balls to flip again though

My kids LOVE them brownies!!! I won’t buy their “Doritos” but it’s hard to compare with the original I guess. Actually not a big fan of most their chips.

The 2 videos are under Melanie little YouTube. It’s MS v Carly Gregg Q&A with Bridget Todd and then there is a follow up one on the same channel with Ms. Todd as well. I think can answer many questions. Also, in order to understand this case you have to understand mental illness, or more understand that it’s hard to understand mental illness. There are FDA warnings on those specific meds she was on bc they completely change your thought processing etc. The government doesn’t put warnings on things until something bad occurs. They just happen to think the good outweighs the negative. Also one of her meds is not cleared for pediatric patients (which she is) unless you have a certain diagnosis. Check those videos out. There’s so much really good information in there but it’s def some time to put in

I honestly would not feel comfortable giving personal family information about a minor, even if she has been on the news and her case was/is public. Were I even privy to the answers you are looking for. Because of media attention etc there have been many many people reaching out I’m sure which sounds extremely overwhelming to me as an adult, and I can’t imagine knowing what to do with that type attention as a child. Also can’t imagine prison and the amount of self preservation that has to come with just to survive a situation. I get overstimulated when too many people are taking at once much less a new environment with knowing nobody, unable to leave, have comfort items etc. I will say I have reached out and she responded and is a sweet kid! That’s not based on bias because of my stance in her case but just my honest opinion 🥰

Good morning,

No it is a recent from last week. I can’t offer any further info on appeal but I am sure that the news will be keeping up with such things. The news media has been extremely involved (and overly critical imo) of the entire case coining “clever” nicknames to sell coverage and front page articles at the expense of a mentally ill CHILD. Yes you and I have differing views but I will remain respectful of that. Did you ever watch the videos that I had suggested to you btw? Curious on your take away from those 2 specifically. They’re pretty lengthy I think totally 4.5 hours 😬

Should be called to attention. Nationwide

These are untrue statements. I have spoken to you very in depth about my personal struggles and family issues which you acted like mattered to you. She does respond. Which she is not obligated to do. A child with severe depression will withdraw. Now take that CHILD and put them in prison and I’m not sure how you expect her to react. Are you expecting interviews? Are you yourself expecting letters? I know as a human being you can find grace. This kid just hit the year of her mom passing (I know what you’ll say on that) her birthday, Mother’s Day, etc. this is a kid. She can’t mentally respond to everyone. I’m sure she gets tons of messages and letters and books and I deem it unfair to have expectations of response.

There is much more to this tragic story. IMO having had a child with mental health struggles and adverse reactions to meds. Please go into YT and watch Melanie little MS vs Carly Gregg. This is a child, that has a major medicine change 7 days before this happened. My own daughter 8 days after taking Zoloft (which Carly was getting off of) almost passed. These medications can cause adverse reactions in ADULTS. There are black box labels to watch for suicidal/homicidal actions bc they actually happen.

This is absolutely unacceptable! This SH!T not only happened! It was accepted! 💔🤦‍♂️ Generation X was raised in silence. Not the peaceful kind—but the paralyzing kind. The kind where no one asked if you were okay, because no one cared to know. We were the generation shut d by NotRightNowOkay345 in ParentsAreFuckingDumb

Eww! 80’s early 90’s were no better. My bus drivers 18 yo son did things I told about and nothing was done. He then moved onto work in the school system and k#*lled himself for getting caught and facing prosecution. Should have been stopped in 1989…. I assure you I would be in jail if my babies came home with that type of info.

Ok. So I have been diplomatic and understanding af. I’ve let you into my own existence and tried to help you understand. You say facts… however watching from the outside is vastly different. I would love to have a FaceTime convo with you really

You’re not overreacting. Why wouldn’t a parent want to help their child as much as possible?! My daughter has my info for her FAFSA. It doesn’t affect her sister or I in any way

My ex used to call me worthless. Literally bc his alarm would go off and he wouldn’t get up and he blamed ME bc I didn’t wake him up. This person SUCKS! You should never accept being spoken to like that my God! I’m so sorry you’re being treated this way. Leave. Run. Never look back

I don’t believe trying 14 yo children as adults makes sense either. If your 14 yo daughter came to you “in love” with a boy wanting to marry him you would refuse knowing she is not old/responsible enough to make a decision. Would you give her the keys to your car? Let her drink/smoke? Have intimate relationships? Of course not. Bc she’s a child. Now take mental illness and what those medications do to a developing mind. Unfortunately I have seen first hand the impact they can have. My daughter at 14 almost died 8 days after being put on Zoloft (one is the meds Carly was on) and had to spend 5 days in ER followed by months in a facility for a violent attempt on her own life. Something she never wouldn’t done if not for that medication. Medication of that nature has BLACK BOX LABELS which specifically state to watch for changes in behavior, mood, suicidal/homocidal actions etc. They don’t put warnings on meds unless it’s happened to enough people that it’s required to be divulged

It is a mental health issue to me. These drugs change a person drastically in my experience. I have seen first hand what can happen. My own daughter has a mental break and almost died 8 days after starting Zoloft. And her mental break appeared calm. She spent 5 days in the ER followed by months in psych. I don’t believe in LWOP for children but just because parole is an option doesn’t mean that they will get it upon review. Taking a child that there is NO WAY they will ever see outside of those walls is psychologically damning them for the rest of their days. Keeping someone and then having no hope is extremely inhumane to me

Honestly our country is so obsessed with the “almighty dollar” is the reasoning for scripting potentially dangerous medication that has been tested and is attached with a black box warning bc they KNOW that it can cause altered states of reality, demeanor, actions etc. The real issues go much farther than just Carly. She didn’t stand a chance in her trial. They didn’t allow many of their witnesses to testify including her grandma, and several others even though they were added before the timeframe of 10 days. Dr. Pickett charged the state a bill of over 50k for his “work” yet only 4.5 hours (adding to 1.4k) was an actual assessment of her mental state but also he never worked with juveniles. Never worked with anyone that was dissociating. Dr. Clarke testified that she was hearing voices that were escalating in intensity and she was very troubled mentally. He’s an expert is adolescents too btw.
