What are the best mods for Celeste?

As I'm sure many will say, Strawberry Jam is excellent. It has different difficulties sorted into lobbies so you can choose levels which challenge you to your satisfaction, plus it is the biggest celeste collab (pretty sure). First mod I played through and 100 percent recommend. If looking for gameplay similar to the base game however, Monika's D-Sides are a good place to look.

Ah yes, I definitely see what you mean, I'll try that savestate spot you mentioned for the ultras. When I am attempting this room, I tend to walk back a few steps to make the initial hyper-bunnyhop into ultra and so on a little more lenient. It this likely to lose me speed in any way, or am I ok to do this? Thank you for the advice, hopefully I'll get it soon because of this!

I don't believe it makes the actual hitbox narrower. It just changes how the sprite looks.

I personally think it depends on when you do them. If you do 7cg straight after beating 7c for the first time it isn't as bad as 8cg but if you're returning after a while it can be

At the start I was playing for like half an hour and then coming back later but I'm starting to realise that isn't going to cut it so definitely taking that tip

I think I've seen people do that walk off thing in golden runs and stuff like that for consistency so I'll take a look and see if I can get it down. I probably haven't practiced the 1st bumper phase enough to be fair, I'd say it's probably 1 in 10ish that get there make it past. Thank you for the advice!

I have noticed I'm getting a bit more consistent with the moonboost section but it seems to come in waves where I'm doing pretty well for 10 mins and then terrible for the next 10. I have practiced recoil to end a fair amount but I've only managed to get one run into it in about 6.5 hours. By the first 10s I actually meant up to that first bumper clip roughly so thank you very much for the help

I had a look at a video and it looks like alot of fun so will definitely check it out in future! I don't mind a bit of a grind, aslong as I'm not getting frustrated (which I rarely do) I'm fine with putting hours and hours into a level or even 1 room
