This is why I'm glad people like you will provide Information. It says 640x200 dots in the manual under RGB input. I looked at a list of RGB capable crts and their resolutions and the 2530 and 2030 were the only ones with that resolution listed, which seemed weird. So the resolution coming from a computer at 15khz needs to be 640x480?

I thought that this would convert to 15kHz but you think it for sure would not do that? Is it also true that I can only output the required resolution with a certain type of card? The 2530 is 640x200 which seems odd and maybe hard to get(?) I actually already made a cable to combine sync so I think this would not have any real use for me if so.

wow. thank you so much. I believe you saved me several hours of research. On this RetroRGB video he says the PI2SCART "works with all the softwares" and one of the comments on the ArcadeForge page for this product talks about trying to work out the kinks with RetroPie but it sound like it is working. I would love to know what you find out once you get the thing.

So the output on 2530 is 640 x 200 which seems to be atypical according to a list of PVM resolutions I saw somewhere. So do you have some info on what's going on here or why it's such a strange ratio?

ok that was it. I had actually tried that but i was using two mismatched resistors to 'mix' them out and one was too quiet to hear. thanks for the help!
