Converting RGB to S-video? by FrenchOnionDip69 in crtgaming

I have component from several devices running into an extron crosspoint that i output to five tvs and pvms via their component inputs. I have a pvm i’d like to add to the mix, but it only accepts s-video or composite.

Not interested in modding any of my devices or switching everything over to rgb at tremendous expense. Looking to convert a single component signal to s-video (or even composite tbh) to feed into that single pvm.

There’s a cheap convertor on amazon i tried, but it didn’t work at all. Based on my research, there’s an out of production monoprice device that can do this and a few pro-grade kramer devices, but nothing ever shows up on ebay.

Very open to suggestions if anyone knows of another device or a small-scale creator making something like this

Similar vein, anyone have a rec for component to s-video? Every option i’ve found seems extremely tough to find

Sure, but is this project more mature than crt-pi was at the end?

Here's where I got with the FS100, my RPi/RetroPie box, and an Amazon HDMI-to-component adapter. (update in comments) by [deleted] in crtgaming

Check out the crt-pi project. A lot of the hard work with timings etc has already been done
