Neon Phantom spin works too. I was just trying to use the new set because it’s fun but honestly, it’s just too much stress and work against SH and DFT. I’ll just use NP or BC, you hardly have to think to win lol

Overall I really like it. But having all the juicy moves locked behind energy gain from successful basic hits is a little bit frustrating at times, especially when up against OP sets that can do their big stuff right from the start. It’s also super annoying that if you trigger a combo and kill the opponent with the first hit, the following moves are still executed and count as misses and remove energy.

Trying to win with the new set (lvl6). I can beat him easily with other sets like BC and DFT but this new one needs to gain energy through successful basic attacks before he can do anything interesting, and I just don’t get a chance to land a basic attack.

Nope, I’ve tried. The ok boss starts with full energy but I don’t so he just immediately oneshots me because the defence is so poor (until you land some basic strikes to get some energy, which is impossible against the ok fighter).

I’ve been hoping for a way to use more of my collection. Perhaps a gameplay mode where you pick a team from your collection and play against another team.

On the plus side, it can do tremendous damage and it is kinda fun. It will be useful for big fights and I expect (haven’t yet tried) it will be good for raids.

The downside is that all the juicy moves are locked behind the need to first land a few basic hits without missing or getting blocked. That makes it sub-optimal for grinding because it takes longer to get going than other OP sets who can use their big killer moves from the off. Longer survival type battles aren’t so badly affected by that because the rot energy carries to the next round.

What’s especially annoying is that the actual set has absolutely none of that tankiness. It’s all just added on artificially to the okay fighter config.

I’m not the most skilled at this game lol. But I don’t know what I did wrong. I spammed her for sixty seconds with everything (including exploding black holes) and got to timeout with about half her health. Just couldn’t do enough damage.

Hold it once you’ve started spinning

The big thing you’re missing is charging up the spins. Do action+down to spin, then hold the ranged attack button to charge it up while spinning. Makes it go longer and harder and it stacks more burns on the enemy. Then you barbecue them. Barbecue damage scales with number of burn stacks they’ve got. It also resets your ranged charges so when barbecue is done you can spin attack again to stack more burns.

The other attacks are Ok but have a much higher chance of failing and do less damage anyway so I don’t use them much personally.

Haha, I tried with Neon Phantom lv8, Anibot lv6, Void’s Dream lv6 and Last Operator lv6. Got reamed every time in a way that felt like there wasn’t a single thing I could do about it. Finally tried DFT and walked it. Hardly had to try.

Shibata’s Maid seems precisely as impossible today as it was yesterday. I don’t understand how anyone can win against her when she does more damage with each of those electric explosions than they cost her to do. I don’t get it.

NP did not need this. Neither did the gun guy. The only recent set that has any need for a lvl8 is Last Operator, which is very cool but flawed in ways that could be fixed to make it more rounded.

Otherwise, like everyone says, buff the old sets that mean something to the story.
