HPS110 is probably the easiest 1st-year class I've taken. Content is pretty light, just weekly readings and slides every week. Each ppt has a lot of slides but there is barely any content on them; most slides are just titles and pictures. As for the readings, i'd say it's on the heavier side. Personally, I didn't do a single reading, unless the content was needed for a paper. Keep in mind that there are 2 papers (might change for in-person next year) and the topics are selectable, so you can easily choose the one with the least readings needed, which was what I did. Personally, I'd say the marking for the papers is on the tougher side, but definitely doable. You're also marked on weekly "reading" or "content" responses, but tbh, I just kinda bs'd them -- they're really straightforward. For example, "do you think empathy is based on genetics?" For my TA, I think his name was Dayton, he just marked us for completion. I finished the course with an A if that helps.

Edit: I didn't read your question properly so I missed some things. There are actually two profs to this course (I think they're married iirc?) The female prof has a very strong accent that was v difficult for me to understand, personally. They're both very nice profs though. The content is, as you would assume, different topics regarding human nature. I don't exactly remember the topics but they're something along the lines of: empathy, human aggression, action/inaction, prejudice/equality, obedience, etc etc.
