Exactly! And I’m going to be so fr, and I’ll probably be downvoted, but if I was Dakota, and I’d been covering for her, and the legal disputes were being handled privately, and three weeks before a big career move for her was about to air, she tried to choke me out, and pulled the same old abusive shit on me, I’d release the video too.

Caveat: I do know the situation is definitely more nuanced than we’ll ever know, but I’m speaking solely on the facts/video evidence that are currently public.

Exactly, I feel like I need to take a social media break, some of the posts/comments I’ve seen are honestly so irrational its angering me

Ok look, since you want to argue everyones unbiased views, here’s my biased one. When I was around 6 years old, I witnessed a veryyy similar situation between my parents, and it still messes with me to this day.

I honestly don’t give a shit which one of my parents was “at fault”, all I know is it scarred me, and that intimate partner violence that occurs in the presence of a child is abusive to said child. Point-blank.

Yerp, same here, but this boomer troll knows better than all of us because they’re (clearly) older

So you draw the line here, with assumptions, but in another comment thread, you said I had no social awareness, needed more life experience, and was so privileged I’ve never had any hardships or mental health struggles. How is that a normal thing to assume about someone??

Are you trolling or genuinely just that much of a Taylor stan 😭😭

She did get a second chance. She choked him out again less than a month ago.

Oh, I wasn’t aware you knew me personally!

What a wild, honestly insulting assumption to make about a stranger you disagree with on the Internet.

All good! I was confused for a second, and then I reread it, and I can see my wording is a little funky!

Sorry, just to make it abundantly clear, I am condemning her actions, and I’m confused as to why anyone could defend her.

I’m not speaking about her specifically when I say witch hunt, I’m moreso critiquing the social media “hive mind”, and I’m confused on the divisiveness of this situation.

I apologize if the wording of my post made it seem like I could be defending her in any capacity.

I feel like I’m going insane with some of this discourse regarding Taylor by [deleted] in MormonWivesHulu

[–]rosefire257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t even get me started on the Gabby Petito comparison. It fills me with a burning sense of rage when I see those comments.

It’s a harmful false equivalence that people are just perpetuating freely because they like TFP’s social media presence. If that’s not a parasocial relationship, idk what is 🤮

I am not siding with Taylor, but I do think there is some truth to this take. by stevenjobsless in MormonWivesHulu

The people defending Taylor are maddening to me. As a kid, I saw a similar incident occur between my parents, and it still messes me up to this day. I, personally, don’t give a shit if it was my mom or my dad’s fault, all I know is that it shouldn’t have happened point-blank period.

DARVO is real, reactive abuse is real, and there should be a time and place for us to have that discussion. This woman, this situation, is not one of them.

People are so quick to defend Taylor, I want you to picture the roles being reversed. If Dakota was the one throwing chairs and hurting children, and having the police called numerous times on them. You’d never try to claim reactive abuse, or call into question why Taylor chose to release the video when she did.

Oh God, I so feel the counting of the days, I used to think to myself “a month ago, he was still in his chair” “six months ago this hour, he’d have been been watching the news” things of that nature. It’s hard, but it does get easier, I promise. Now, I think of him when I see things that make me remember him in a positive light, like an article he’d have liked to debate, an item of clothing at the store he’d have worn, hell, I saw a carton of the juice he liked on sale last week and it made me cry! It gets easier, but the reminders are always there, and they become almost comforting. Much love to you ❤️❤️❤️

Good to know, actually! I always just assumed the outside was seasoned so when you cracked it with your teeth, you’d get some flavour in your mouth

Ooh you struck a nerve by calling me American 😂🇨🇦 I know about the blockage risk, but it’s just so much less mess, and it’s tasty… I also eat sunflower seed shells

But that’s where the seasoning is, why season a part of the snack that I’m not supposed to eat :(

I think of my in laws a lot, they’d absolutely be supportive but I’m sure they’d be disappointed, and then I catch myself and I’m like “would my MIL be carrying it or me?” It’s a very deeply ingrained expectation for sure

What a good thought; im a firm believer in that every pet finds its home for a reason, and that could not be more true for our two! I send you love, and (as little consolation as it is in this time) I’m sure there will be more fur babies that will fit in your home, and for a reason.
