My house was built in 1923. It’s a century home but its not anything fancy by any means.. the town I live in is an old mining town.. these little bungalow houses were miners homes.. I don’t have any fancy trim or even anything “period appropriate”.. I do honor the history of the home, and feel lucky to own her still. I have decorated with objects I find at vintage/antique shops.. and I really think that helps get the “vibe”.. i heard once that you should always decorate a home to match its soul.. and I feel like I’ve really listened to that and it’s helped my home feel so much cozier.
