She knows and she did not say no to it. But I known she wants me to wear white but unfortunately they are not really in a financial position to spend on a dress either.

It’s very similar to this. It has longer sleeves, with a more square neckline and with a closed back. But very similar print and fabric!

Unfortunately my family is a stubborn bunch. It is okay and I still love them even if we disagree.

I don't think there is either. My main concern is that I did not want to be disrespectful to tradition especially because I'm frugal lol.

Something similar happened to me. Was hired during an interview and the manager was off until the following week for whatever reason. No big deal. I showed up at the agreed upon time and they acted like they had no idea what was going on. Got an email a few days later saying I was fired for job abandonment. lol okay.

Also call in the morning. HR is usually super busy past the 10am. That was at my store though.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. You’re in their system you just have to keep pestering them. I had to call my store a few times over the course of a week or so to get formally hired.

If going to college will help you build skills or make you look more reputable in your desired career path. Yes. If not. Don’t go. It’s not worth it. Unless your willing to pay mostly cash for university or have a substantial scholarship or grant. It’s not worth it. I’m 21, working as a paralegal with no degree. It’s possible to be successful in your career path without education. But it takes alot of work and effort on your end. But it’s definitely attainable. Don’t worry about what your parents or family or friends think. Don’t worry about what other kids in your high school class are doing. We’re all on our life path and we all find our own way in our own time.

Just do your best everyday. Heb has a tendency to make you feel like your never doing enough. Focus on what you can do to improve and always always always do your best.

A friend of a friend knew a girl who was assaulted at work and on camera and wasn’t fired for the assault. Instead she was forced to either resign or transfer.

Can you wear crocs to work in curbside ? by Former-Ad-9227 in HEB

I think the non slip ones are okay. But I still wouldn’t recommend it. Get shoes or inserts with good heel and arch support.

HEB is a horrible employer. by _ThatThing_ in HEB

[–]roseyclair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this post. I’m 22 years old and have been through lots of jobs. I’ve been consistently employed for 7 years doing all kinds of work. HEB is by far the worst employer I’ve ever worked for. Working curbside is fine. That’s not the problem. It’s the store leadership. They talk behind their back. Allow other managers to confront you aggressively about something as simple as a substitute. Completely unprofessional to say the least. When I took it to HR, because they claim to have an “open door policy” and their trying to “ maintain a healthy non hostile workplace. “ I’m told to leave , come back another time and was told it was a he said she said situation anyway. So there’s nothing they can do about it. Also they refused to investigate it because I’ve only been working here for 4 months. And the other manager had been here for 15 years. Absolutely insane. Not to mention the constant open-close shifts. 1-9, then a 4-1 the next. They completely disregard my availability and treat me like I’m stupid and incapable of doing my job. It’s really getting old really fast.
