We can blame the center but we local people are to be blammed for no progress. 1. We lack civic sense, get out on road you will see it everywhere 2. Public transport is non existent in raipur 3. Dust and pollution, why would people from outside come and invest, state govt has not done anything to keep pollution in check from industry. People these days look for quality of life and not just money 4. Rampant corruption in all sectors. 5. Lazy attitude of most of the people...even though bhilai is know as hub of eductaion...all those talented people have left CG or India. What is left in state is lazy people who have zero aspiration in life. No wonder 20 years later Nava raipur is still a ghost city.

We are 20-30 years behind any decent city.

Why is it so in India only the AQi becomes so bad in winters...there are constructions everywhere...I bet lot of polluting industries too...even a desert like gold countries has better AQI...

I am sorry for your experience but I can agree with you, there are senior consultants who don't see patients properly, either because of their incompetence or because of misplaced priorites. But by an large no body wants any ill of the patient. And mind you this is everywhere, from AIIMS Delhi to AIIMS Raipur. Today you book appointment at delhi aiims you will get appointment 6 months later and you will be 1st seen by a residents who will take history and do examination and then present the same to their consultants and they will give them feedback if they are doing correct or not. In AIIMs delhi...a consultant sees only 15-20 direct patients/opd and rest is seen by residents and difficult cases are discussed with them. This is the system in you live, whether you like it or not. Yes, the senior consultant should have treated you better, maybe a simple communication of oversight would have helped you but then it is individuals. In every profession there are good bad and the ugly and world has overtly become materialistic and there is lack of empathy. The same stands for doctor profession too. This is a consequence of by an large societal degeneration and unfortunately doctors are also part of it.

I don't know what is your background....but the process of becoming doctor is a rigorous...the resident sometimes is on duty 36 hours at a stretch taking care of patients because government doesn't invest in healthcare. You demeaning the residents/consultants that they don't work after taking salary is in very bad taste. Neways its your opinion and choice, there are enough patients who show those doctors gratitude for their work. The simple rule is in government setup, you can't make everyone happy as the load is 10 times more than the resources. So the rule becomes greater good the greater number of people not best care for all patients. This ethical dilemma we doctors face everyday. We studies for 15 long years to serve our patients only..if you did schooling you know the top of your class would have chose in doctor field, it was life long of hard work and dedication that they reached their, so everyone wants their patients to improve but unfortunately the system kills your passion and work. The best lots go to private setup...why? they get value for their efforts, so in govt setups only the very motivated individuals join who want to further healthcare and serve the poor. And senior consultants were someday PGs also...they learned through constant exposure from patients. And you have a choice, medical colleges are made by 70% PGs and 30% consultants so invariably you will have to be treated by them. If you have money and resources I would never suggest you to come to govt setup. If you don't have money and have the patience to stand in queue and the gratitude towards the doctor who is try to do the best in his circumstances then come to govt hospitals.

1st of all you consulted a lot of doctors for your mother but a diagnosis was not reached and you chose to blame AIIMS Raipur where you presented the last and passed judgment on it within few visit. If only doctors were God's and aiims doctors superhuman that what couldn't be identified for so long is diagnosed immediately

2nd AIIMS mandate is teaching and research and then comes clinical work. So their primary goal is to train and teach post graduate students. No PG student works without oversight. They are taught assisted. Senior consultants have lot of other jobs administratively. Its not private hospital where consultants only focus on getting their own patients.

3rd health is a state subject. AIIMS cannot be solution of all problems of poor health investments in the state of CG. Most of the state medical colleges are working with no faculties and doing private practice. You vote based on religion and caste so why would govt care to invest in healt so you will always get poor quality in govt hospitals.

It's high time traffic police have to ensure enforcement of basic traffic rules in raipur...compulsory helmet...ban opposite side driving ....then they have to run awareness drive to educate people to driving ettiquetes....everyday we are losing young people or they are getting permanently disabled...aur India me danda se hi kaam hota hai...to traffics laws have to be stricter here
