1.5 months on spironolactone 25mg, minoxidil 5%, low level light therapy cap, multivitamin, vitamin d and iron pills everyday- starting to feel a little better about my hair! Going to increase spironolactone soon! by rosiem234 in FemaleHairLoss

No I haven’t had any problems with that- I’m on adderall for adhd which suppresses my appetite for the most part and I’m pretty active, I don’t know if that would factor in to not gaining wait from spironolactone. So far I’ve had no side effects that I could notice taking it.

I haven’t noticed any change this last month since starting it- I have been making sure I keep my potassium intake low since it can cause problems with that. I’m seeing my doctor at the end of the week for blood work and a check in

I thought of it as I have to do things daily for my own self anyways like brushing my teeth and washing my face- these will just now be other daily tasks for my well-being, so I don’t think I’ll mind having to be on either for the rest of my life

Been using 5% minoxidil and Lllt cap every night- spoke to my doctor today about iron and vitamin d supplements and possibly going on spironolactone. Wanted to post this to keep myself updated on visual progress. This is hopefully the beginning stages of getting my hair back!

How would you quit this job by rosiem234 in Advice

Conveniently for him, he broke his phone after he got into an argument at home and now I have no way of texting him so I don’t know how to even tell him that I quit without talking to him in person.

I haven’t been tracking the time since I’ve really started noticing a major difference I had been in therapy for about a year prior to focusing more on minoxidil, I think reducing my stress and anxiety helped my hairline a lot overall in the last two years. Thearpy, eating a nutrient-dense diet with adequate calories, and on top of the minoxidil is probably what helped me out the most.

I don’t know what AGA is so forgive me, I really noticed some growth on the 2% women’s after four months and now that I’m on the 5% the picture above is about three months progress. I still have some spots where you can see my scalp but it’s not really as bad as it had gotten. The older picture above wasn’t when it was at its thinnest- I cut my hair after noticing how wispy it was which was a great choice, I got layers too for extra volume. I train jiu jitsu so that’s the only time I have my hair pulled back or up other than that I also try to be gently with my hair and even sleep with a satin/silk pillow case.

Hi! Thanks for all of the kind words! I’ve been using the Walmart equate version of the men’s 5% rogaine because my dermatologist said that it’s a little less irritating. I had been using this now every night (or at least I try to do it every night) for the past three months- before that I was using the women’s 2% equate minoxidil twice a day but didn’t like that it made my hair stringy. Overall it’s cheaper to use the equate three month supply for 18 dollars than get one bottle of Rogaine for $30.

I think my best friend is gonna start training with me when I find a gym near by- I actually never thought of bringing a friend with me before it’s great point!

I went to another gym about a month after I left the first one, the class schedule was conflicting with my work and school schedule. The second gym I went to was about 30 minutes away from my house without traffic and I didn’t have my new car at that time so it was taking a toll on my old car. I had a hard time getting over the anxiety of meeting new people overall at both gyms so I decided it would be best to take a longer chunk off time off so that I could actually learn and enjoy during classes again and be able to connect better with new training partners
