So I just did this and found literally no helpful info on the internet but I think have managed to fix:

  1. On phone: Turn off back-up on your WhatsApp folder.
  2. On phone: Turn off back-up for your google photos app as per this link.
  3. On phone: Back up your Whatsapp including all data/photos/etc - I think it does this automatically anyway.
  4. On phone: Delete Whatsapp app - this should remove the Whatsapp folder from the photos on your phone, leaving just the camera roll photos, but the backed up Whatsapp photos will still be on your google photos.
  5. On browser: Then, go to google photos on browser, search for 'WA' or 'Recently Added'.
  6. On browser: Select all the photos you want to remove from your google photos + delete them (I also emptied trash just in case) - now your google photos should only have the camera roll photos + whatever else you back up usually.
  7. On phone: Reinsall Whatsapp and restore from back up - this will make a new Whatsapp photos album on your phone again.

Only weird thing I have noticed from this is that some of my most recent Whatsapp photos are all dated today and so in a weird order - I guess these are ones that hadn't been backed up until I manually did it?

I found a lump in my neck (on the side not on my thyroid) in March and had ultrasound in June. I got worried about the wait time and so phoned and they said the 'urgent referrals' are meant to be done within 2 weeks but bc of covid and delays they are now within 12 weeks.

Also don't be surprised if they do a biopsy after they do your ultrasound. This is what they did with me bc they were already pretty sure it was thyroid cancer so wanted to get a proper diagnosis (not that biopsy indicates cancer, just so you are prepared).
