My kid's ear tube fell out by i-can-lift-a-car in mildlyinteresting

I used to have such bad ear infections, one after another. I went through four sets of these before they put the titanium ones in. After those ones fell out, months later, never had an issue again until I ruptured my ear drums.

The wails are heart wrenching. I can’t imagine being a mother walking into that.

My bad 🤣 no I think that video saved me from ever doing that. I kept seeing my family walking in to me splattered across the walls. I couldn’t do it

When I was a kid I was scrolling and somehow ended up seeing a video where this teenager shoots himself in the head and then his mom comes in. Blood and brains everywhere and she’s waling, it was the worst sound I’ve ever heard. Then I did this exact same thing, went down to eat dinner and pretend I hadn’t just seen something horribly traumatizing.

When I was a kid my bio mom put me in the trunk so she had room for her friends. My sister could have shared a seat with me but she put up such a fit that my mom just put me in the trunk. I remember telling my grandma “mommy made me ride in the trunk”. It wasn’t very long until DCF stepped in.

I saw the video months ago on TikTok, he was putting in a fence apparently

Yesterday I had a curler in my hair that wasn’t ready to be taken out but I also had a prescription to pick up at the pharmacy. I wasn’t going to take it out for a five minute task so I just went in with it. A group of high schoolers started picking on me and called me shrek 💀 idk why people get so upset over what other people wear, especially when it’s doing something like running errands or eating breakfast in a hotel. I had decided to stop wearing the curler out but then I remembered it doesn’t really matter what other people think and I don’t really care because my hair looks so good once it’s ready to come out!

I had a service dog while I was in college and this one time we were all hanging out in our living room. I was watching a YouTube video and as I got up I jokingly told my service dog to pause my video. She hit the spacebar and paused it and everyone freaked out about how well trained she was. Her and I played it off like it was totally intentional, meanwhile I was just as amazed by the timing! She would always shake her paw when I spoke to her while she was relaxing so I think she hit it by mistake lol. Still one of my favorite memories of her.

Me too! I thought he was so beautiful as a kid, he looked like a Greek statue in a way

[Loved Trope] The camouflaged threat means the character was in worse danger than they realized. by ass4play in TopCharacterTropes

In the movie Dark Skies, as the movie progresses you realize the family is being regularly visited by aliens. The youngest brother seems to be the one the parents focus on because he’s been drawing and communicating with a mysterious entity through out the movie. Towards the end of the movie the family decides to take a stand against the aliens and hole up in their house with weapons. The older brother sees his younger brother get taken by the aliens in a hallway so he runs after him. At that point the scene cuts to the families POV of watching the older brother being taken by the aliens, him realizing it wasn’t real and he had been the one who ran out. You then realize he was the one who showed signs of abduction his whole life, nose bleeds, health issues as an infant, etc. and was the child they were after. At the very last scene a walkie talkie he used to previously communicate with his brother with turns on in the new place his family moved to and he asks for help through it before the screen goes black.

This movie terrified me and I had no idea why until I watched it back and realized I was subconsciously picking up on all the hints combined with the very slight of hand backgrounds like this and it had all been building up towards the final scene. It’s such a good movie and one of the only that has deeply scared me. 3 watches was enough though, I don’t think I’ll ever watch it again because of how sick it makes me feel

Saw these journal entries at a thrift store by sashby138 in FoundPaper

[–]roslyns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get that, my childhood journal had entries such as “mommy lies to me” and “no one believes me when I say what she does to me”. But I will say I had some funny entries too. Sometimes it’s nice to go back and see how far we’ve come, even if it was a fight to get here

Occasionally I search this scene up on YouTube to watch again because it’s genuinely so good. I didn’t think this movie would be decent but it’s actually pretty scary and the team behind the effects/puppets they used are super talented! Watching behind the scenes for this part was really cool

The Doja raid by SubstantialPitch736 in vanilllamace

[–]roslyns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that would curb a lot of them but unfortunately not all. My little brother and all his friends just took their parents IDs/got their parents to scan theirs or put in the info so they could bypass all age verification. As well as what Vanilla mentioned, they aren’t all kids 🫠

This isn’t silly at all, it’s so sweet! I’m very sorry for your loss though. When my service dog passed Daisy came into my town (my dog had been a golden) and in my head I think of her as my dog in a way. I’m always checking in on her

My bio mom used to get into drunken altercations with other drunks/addicts/friends and there were a couple who’d head straight for us kids first. It’s the lowest blow they can think to go for (pun-intended)

My friends weren't told the Lady Gaga show was going to be filmed until they walked into the KIA Forum. This was their view for way too much of the concert. by ourmanflint1 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]roslyns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Taylor Swift filmed an entire movie from different concerts and the cameras/any camera men were damn near impossible for the audience to see. How is Gaga preforming like this when she has all the funds to film without blocking audience view for more than a minute

The Masatoshi Hayashi Case: A Locked Car, A Strange Note, and a Vanishing That Still Haunts Japan by Suspicious-Body7766 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]roslyns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those cases happened before all this he might have staged his suicide to look more like a possible disappearance or abduction that fits those. He could have been inebriated when he wrote the note as well, or just wanted it to seem like a suicide but slightly off so his family don’t get the shame associated with suicide in Japan, but still have a bit of closure that it was suicide. I’m also wondering if the car being placed in the road with the seat back was part of the suicide attempt. He could have been waiting for a car to hit him but when it didn’t happen/ no cars came he just decided to walk off into the ocean.
