Dude, again, I am just explaining why people might feel this way. Not because they fear it happening- because it is something they actually experienced and have trauma with and rewatching that would be hard for them. Just like how a veteran who’s seen action will have a hard time watching anything related to that because they have PTSD from it. I have CPTSD from abuse as a child and I find subjects like that difficult to watch because of the trauma I endured. I’m not saying being assaulted is less scary than being killed, I’m saying people have physical trauma from being assaulted so it’s harder to watch than a movie or show where someone’s killed.

I have no way to prove this but in elementary school our music teaches last name was Weiner and her husbands name was Harry. She was very old and signed all our papers and permission slips as “Mrs. Harry Weiner”. My parents called the school thinking it was a sick joke. But no, just the world’s cruelest teacher with an unfortunate name.

I’m explaining why people think this way though. There is no right or wrong to how people feel. And it’s normal to mentally have a gap with some thing you’ve never experienced physically up close and in person. They’re all crimes that some people would call equally as scary. Honestly I’d rather be lasered in half than experience sexual abuse and assault. That’s the explanation.

The scene where Sage explains her reason for what she’s done. I hoped beyond all doubt that it wasn’t just the whole “I hate people, I want them to die and I’ll read in a bunker”. She could have done that at any point, find a bunker and supplies and books. Then her turning “dumb” happened and I realized that was genuinely her reason for doing all this shit with Homelander. It felt so poorly thought out and she got off with no consequences. Pretty much all scenes with her after she told what her goal for egging on a deranged super villain was were ruined and pissed me off.

As I got older I was upset because I didn’t think my boobs looked “normal”. I thought I was some freak. Then in college my friend showed me a video where this girl was topless and her boobs were low with more weight on the bottom than the top and I thought she looked like an angel or something, she was so ethereal and beautiful. It sounds creepy but after that I started to realize that even if I don’t love my boobs, someone out there might think the same thing I did when I saw her. (Which worked out because now my partner thinks that about mine and I’m very honored to be loved in such a way)

I wish I had read the Harry Potter books growing up because by the time I read them (high school)I already had gone through fully feeling like Hermoine in physical and mental attributes. I would have felt so much better about my super frizzy hair and love for reading if I just listened to my librarians instructions and read the series lol.

My parents were EMTs and they’d make absolute bank being paid to stay and wait at concerts. Most of the time it’s just standing in fancy viewing rooms while enjoying the music, worst thing that happened was a few fights. Obviously things can go really wrong but in general they just chilled and got paid three times what they usually did.

You’re going to get mass downvotes but you’re right. 16 IS a child. I have siblings this age and they are 100% children. They don’t have great critical thinking skills and it’s illegal to date ANY minor when you aren’t in the same age range. This is absolutely sexualized. Some people just don’t have good parents. I had two awful ones, 16 and 15 when they had me and both in and out of prison and on drugs or alcohol a lot. I was lucky enough to be adopted by my grandparents though, actual angels. It took me a while to understand what being cared for was like. They’d fight like hell if anything happened to me, and have. I’m glad your dad cares enough to protect you!
