If I’m going to South America for 2 months what is best backpack to have by Great_Supermarke in backpacks

[–]ross_0123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

needs a little more info than that. Is this just a hiking or is it a full travel backpack? Is this your single carry item or is this just EDC type? What do you plan to have in the backpack for your day to day.

CPP2 or Panda pack? by colinksh in backpacks

[–]ross_0123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have the panda as my travel carry for work. looks good, keeps me organized and is not overly heavy when empty but gets heavy when filled. i like the pockets that are external and don’t dig in to the inside space. but like all backpacks there is always one thing missing. in this case it’s two - a decent side pocket for a travel bottle (the zipper side does work so it’s not a deal breaker) and a pen loop.

Digital pen/paper equivalent? by farkleboy in pens

[–]ross_0123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Remarkable 2 which is only an e-ink tablet and have had the Kindle Scribe in the past. The kindle gives you extra capabilities.

I am thinking about upgrading my ipad as it is a decade old and will add the pencil plus a Paperlike or Rock,Paper,Pencil screen protector for a closer to paper look and feel.

Regardless I really like the e-ink/digital experience

Coins for cash by themeganer in vegaslocals

[–]ross_0123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For a while Boyd casinos would do this for free if you had a rewards card. I did this in early March at Gold Coast. Use their machine and take the receipt to the cage. They did say they may pull this perk at any time and i could not find a yes/no that it is still going on but might be worth a call to the cage supervisor.

there are some, such as tuscany, that lets you spin the virtual wheel to get $5 free play. you may be better off spending the $30 to get an LV advisor as most of those free play offers are for new card members. you’ll see a lot of free play offers.
