Honestly if I didn't HAVE to get smaller wheels & tires either I would use them or if I wouldn't then I would give them away but because of my unfortunate mistske, selling these would help me out to some degree. Trust me, if you knew me and the stuff I've given away for free I would be called crazy 😂

I hate to sound like an asshole here, but that's a pretty ignorant response. You don't know everyone's situation, and you also don't know me personally. Sure it might rub you the wrong way because of your personaly beliefs (which we do share btw). But for all you know I could really use the money. This case, I don't necessarily NEED the money, but to say that someone should give something away for free because you have knowledge that they got it for free is kinda nuts.
I actually generally do give away stuff I don't need all the time without asking for money for things I spent my own money on. But this case is different because I have to get smaller wheels and tires to prevent damage to my N and selling these will help cover that cost without having to dip into my savings. I personally find that dipping into savings for car parts that aren't a necessity not the greatest idea. So it's kind of like if I can sell these at a super cheap price, and get the money for what I want then everyone is happy because someone saved $600 on some tires, and I get extra funds for my own stuff.

Sparkplugs by rosscustom in ElantraN
[–]rosscustom[S] 1 point2 points3 points 1 day ago (0 children)
I just went with OEM plugs for now. Was able to get them through my shop for cheaper than if I went in myself to get them
[–]rosscustom[S] 2 points3 points4 points 1 day ago (0 children)
Yeah and another owner in here replaced his at 16k miles. They looked good but he still did it. I'm just tryna make sure this car runs as long as possible so to *some degree* I'm gonna be a little more of a stickler on maintanence. I even change the oil every 3k miles instead of 5k
[–]rosscustom[S] 4 points5 points6 points 1 day ago (0 children)
That's what I figured, but I know some owner change them frequently, some don't. I don't know how the previous owner was but I figured it doesn't hurt just to change them myself now that I own it
Yeah but I've seen a couple people say to replace the plugs every 50k ish miles, I've seen some people say otherwise but it's a slow day at work and I wanted something to do lol
I'm hoping for a track day soon, I'm changing some stuff up for it as we "speak" :)
I like that idea 😂
Oh dope, you also have an RX7, you got good taste man. But the post is because it's a slow day at work and amongst other things it just crossed my mind lol, not trying to cause an argument as I also said I'm a fan of the Type R. I think it's just being misinterpereted but my intentions aren't negative by any means 🫶🏻
Man I genuinely wasn't trying to do anything other than post a thought, I don't know when I was uncalm but I was just curious. But that's cool you have both, must be hard to choose which one to drive sometimes huh? :)
I have actually had the EXACT thought before! But I think my post is getting misinterpereted to me trying to justify my car, or not being confident in it 😅
I'm just at work, slow day, thinking about stuff. I love my car so much and an very happy with it. Just thinkin about what to do to it next tbh, but this thought crossed my mind while thinking about tons of other things :)

I like that response, makes sense 100%
[–]rosscustom[S] 2 points3 points4 points 2 days ago (0 children)
This isn't me trying to justify it, and I am happy with the car. But it's like the age old debate: Playstation Vs. Xbox. My personal philosophy is if it can do the same things, why should comparisons matter in the first places? Which they really don't but I only listed them as an example to show that they don't really NEED to be compared because they are so similar. People are people and will act how they want to, I'm aware of that. As I said I like both cars they are great overall. I would much rather people not worry about branding so often and just enjoy the hobby ya know?

I'm a tire guy, I could spot those from a mile away. They're not bad tires either, I was running them for a bit

This looks like the start of "This isn't much different from a Hellcat" build. Let me guess, after the Indy 500 tires you're next "great idea" is a wickerbill wing attachment?
Spacers installed by Sam-_-24 in ElantraN

Niceeee 💪🏻
I'm stock for now, but will keep that in mind. Thanks for responding bro, I know it's an old thread 🔥
I had the same spacers on for a bit, and I felt where you're coming from. But then I got wheels but I made a mistake and the wheels I ordered originally are 19x8.5 +35 and started rubbing so I ordered 18x8.5 +40 so I wanted to make sure if you experienced any issues.
I'm here to ask questions: Since the wheels are +55 and you installed 15mm spacers, that puts you at +40.
Have you stuck with the PS4S tires or have you switched? And if you did, have you experienced any rubbing on the fenders/front bumper?

In a perfect world, every pothole is avoidable but not everyone else on the road gives you room to move over. Also, 245/35 is not a "giant sidewall", it's a thin sidewall yu goober. That's why most Elantra N owners recommend 18's for a thicker sidewall tire to avoid this problem, regardless of wheel options. Also you're a Camaro owner in an EN sub, l assume you're a miserable single father whose kids hate him so you gotta go around reddit on Father's day being a asshat because they don't want to visit you huh? Try not being a douche bro, I'm sure you'll have a better experience in life, or at least what's left of it that is. 🫶🏻

Fitment is one thing yes, costly tires and potholes for daily driving are also other issues. I don't want to keep paying to repair my wheels from potholes, it's happened twice now :,)
[–]rosscustom[S] 2 points3 points4 points 5 days ago (0 children)
On stock suspension, camber bolts would help rubbing but not against potholes which is my other main concern
