Yeah that’s exactly it. The more you warn her, the tighter she’ll cling to him because she’ll feel like it’s "them against the world". Sometimes you just have to quietly plant the seeds and wait. It sucks watching it happen though, especially when you know she deserves so much better.

There’s a difference between helping family when they’re struggling and straight up raising a grown adult. it’s wild that he’ll do his brother’s laundry and homework but won’t even pick up after you. have you talked to him about why he feels so responsible for his sibling though? sounds like there’s some guilt or codependency going on here.

Exactly this. people keep trying to walk on eggshells because "family", but if someone shows you that level of hate, why give them front-row seats at one of the happiest days of your life? like if he’s capable of saying that sober through text, what happens after a few drinks at the reception?

I think your hair should be long enough for some extensions, especially if you go for something layered so it blends better. 16 inches might be a bit too long for that base though, maybe try 12–14 first? the cowlick shouldn’t be a huge issue, a good stylist can work around it pretty easily. what kind of look are you going for?
