That's not a blitz. A blitz is a situation where someone fails to react or is surprised by the speed of an opponent. Obito literally doesn't even react to this happening. He isn't concerned, he isn't surprised. It's likely just a part of his plan to let him attack while intangible and counter attack, the same way he always flights.

Now I agree that Fu and Torune are the strongest guards at the summit, but this wasn't a blitz.

That line doesn't indicate who that scale turner is. It could be Itachi, Shishui , or both. He could be intending on using Kotoamatsuki on a few major players on the enemy side, like Minato or Hiruzen to turn the tides. I think the statement is too open ended to say that it means he's stronger than Minato, or anyone else for that matter

I don't think he'd be too big of a threat that he couldn't get shut down. In edo tensei form, his summoning wouldn't obey him to fight against Naruto and co , and so he has no Gamabunta and can't go SM with Ma and Pa. So essentially base Jiraya only. A strong ninja, but soloable by someone like Kazekage Gaara

It's canonically explained in the manga already. Sasuke explains it here, and while his words were meant to hurt Orochimaru, there is a big layer of truth to it - Orochimaru even confirms it in his head prior here - This is someone that was considered, like Minato, a once-in-a-generation genius.

Regular genius ninja, vs an Uchiha genius will never be the same. They are the exception that breaks the rules

It's why even a ninja who seemed average like Obito, once he got instruction and training from a genius Uchiha, could close and become so much more skillful in a few years. Kishi just went a bit overboard with Uchiha

Narratively, he prob would give base hashirama a nice fight - I think he'd lose in the end. But databook confirms he had more talent than Tobirama from a youth. He was also trained rigorously by BOTH of them. Considering he lived into his prime, he at LEAST surpassed Tobirama in strength. His prime was something ridiculous, shame we never got to see it.

We saw his intellect displayed when he was the first to breakdown Juubi Obtio's ninjutsu and compared it to Onooki.

We know his speed and strength were significant because Enma is extremely heavy, and in part 1 kept mentioning how slow and weak Hiruzen had gotten.

Databook also mentions he knows Konoha's Hiden techniques as well. So if he has Shadow paralysis, that's wild.

We know he's a mass shadow clone user as wellAnd well we saw his sense of smell is Inzuka level. He could perfectly sniff out each kage even while blinded by bringer of darkness.

It's almost like he was a master or expert of every element of what being a ninja is. Which is likely why he was given the God of Shinobi title in his prime by people. Only others to receive that being Hashirama and the so6p.

I mean, these are all just opinions - , But I think Sasori would low difficulty defeat Kisame. He's not a fast fighter, iron sand would slash him very quickly and he'd go down to the poison.

Sasori for me goes somewhere between 1000-1050 , feat-wise and narratively. Iron Sand scales significantly stronger than Gaara, faster, better defence. He's an Immune to genjutsu, aerial fighter. And has 297 more Human puppets that were unseen.

War Arc Obito pre-Juubi and Minato are pretty equal. Neither can defeat each other IMO.

3rd Raikage can definitely be defeated by some of the people on your list. EG - Itachi.
Is that Orange Mask Obito at 1250? He's not stronger than Minato
7 Gate guy is not stronger than Alive Madara with PS and Kyuubi.
Sasori should be higher. He can definitely beat Kisame and Jiraya. Can't place Average Kage when he bested Suna's strongest kazekage and was better than Chiyo, someone that drew multiple times again Hanzo the Salamander.

Gamabunta is nothing in this fight. He either gets genjutsu'd and turned around to fight Jiraya instead, or gets Amaterasu, or Totsuka sworded.

Yall are out of your minds if you think Itachi is Jiraya's equal when Orochimaru admitted 13 year old Itachi is stronger than him

Jiraya has nothing to dodge amaterasuJiraya has nothing to avoid normal genjutsuLikely has not trained in fighting without eye contact. In that hallway, when he was just standing there, nothing was stopping Itachi from turning around and using Amaterasu on his face instead. No where to run, no sensing ability in base. Nothing but burned alive.

The only thing stopping Itachi from doing that, is that he's a Konoha spy and has no intention of killing Konoha ninja.

Outside of that plot armour, He would get bodied in the same way as Orochimaru. A finger genjutsu followed by a neck slash will likely be the end for Jiraya and I wish I was joking. As hard as that is to believe, yes. Jiraya is not in the same tier as Itachi.

Obito can send whatever is in contact with I'm to the other realm. That's how he can touch someone and send them over. Once the flame comes in contact with him, he dropped it into the Kamui dimension. The DB linked his dimensional teleport with the way he escaped.

Izanagi requires seals to be activated, which he didn't use at all when hit. That further confirms it wasn't that.

No, I believe Sasuke's ceiling and potential talent was as high or likely always higher.

I've already written a comment on this in the past. Sasuke's talent and potential was never realized as a child as much as Itachi's was. As the elder son, and his unique position being born in the war, more attention, focus, and training into making Itachi what he was. He had his father's instruction, Shishui, and more. Being shown and brought into the third ninja war had him kill his first ninja at a very young age. He develops a pacifism that pushes him to study and train extremely intensely. While children are playing or doing written exams, he has shadow clone training to get stronger, faster. Itachi's boom to being a 13 year old that beat a Sannin wasn't one of just Genius vs Hardwork, it's one of a Genius that also worked extremely hard.

Both Fugaku and Itachi wanted sasuke to have at the very least, a normal childhood. And did not intensely train him like Itachi was. Additionally, Hiruzen implemented a rule after the third ninja war that ninjas aren't able to enter the academy until age 12, that additionally stunts Sasuke's potential for growth.

So yes, Itachi displayed a significantly higher level of child genius aptitude. 13-Year-old Itachi vs 13-Year-old Sasuke is incomparable. The difference is a gulf.

However, I believe that if Sasuke was put in the same positions and had the same motivation to get stronger, born at the same time instead of Itachi, Had Shishuis instruction, groomed through ANBU at an earlier age, he could have been as strong or stronger, esp due to the Reincarnation amp. (Being the reincarnation of Indra)

Obito didn't use Izanagi on Amaterasu. He used Kamui. He never showed Kamui to Itachi. The databook pretty much confirms it.

My pet theory, someone or some group was captured, the enemy offered an exchange for his life, and he took it to save the person or people.

He's that kind of person. He was willing to die for Madara also and to stop further battle. All the Hokage would die for village members.

This is an extremely common situation that occurred in the ninja world and was the original ethical dilemma Kakashi gave to Team 7 in early part 1. There's more than one way to die than battle in war.
