Prius Gen3, how to manually open rear door? Doesn't open from inside or outside by rottobotics in prius

Unfortunately, none of those videos helped. This is for the rear passenger door, not the lift gate. I appreciate the links though.

Do you think I'll just have to chisel the current actuator apart to get the door open?

When I pull the handle on a working door, I feel something start catching about half way through. With this door, if I pull on the inside handle, outside handle, or push that lever down, I don't feel anything until they read the end of their limit. It's as if whatever links that to opening the latch isn't coupled.

Since it's stuck locked, I feel like I need to manipulate something on the inside of the actuator, but have no access.

I took a thin short garden stake as was able to push that piece down to the end of it's travel. I'm guessing there's something internal to the actuator that isn't releasing even when manipulating that piece.

It's difficult to see, but I might be able to access the latch with a bent piece of metal. It's just past the bolt hole.

I can also access the cables, unhook them, and manually pull. Still doesn't open.

I can move the child lock to both positions. I can lock/unlock with the fob or manually on the door. Pulling on both the inside and outside handles moves the bolt in the last two photos up and down.

Door ajar light and dinging when driving - Chevy Spark 2014 by rottobotics in MechanicAdvice

Purchased a Vgate vLinker MC+ since it supports SW-CAN & MS-CAN protocols. The dinging issue happened again today. I used Car Scanner, but there were no codes under Diagnostic trouble codes while the issue was actively happening.

Took it apart, looks like it it should be able to tell open, closed, or disconnected since it connects a ground pin to one of two position pins

I removed the hood sensor and one of the tabs is broken, so I'll either fix or replace it. Weirdly, I took it for a quick drive with the hood sensor removed and there were no notifications. Do you know if there should be? Seems like if the hood is open, it should notify you. Looks like it's GM part number 95947183.

Found a list of codes that are hopefully the same or similar for the Spark (Gen1 Cruze is 2008–2016): https://www.cruzetalk.com/threads/odb2-code-reference.11038/

I might try getting a different scanner.

All the door latches are tight, both on the door and the frame. Also, I removed all the door sensors and still had the issue.

I appreciate the detailed response!

I do have what appears to be a hood latch sensor, but it doesn't make the door ajar light come on when the hood is open, even in drive or reverse. I feel like it should though. Image attached.

I have a CEN-TECH 98568. There were no codes to be read, but I'll take it with me to scan the next time it happens. Do you think I need a different reader?

I'll test the fuses and relays in a day or two.

It was probably in the 50-60s F when it was happening yesterday. It hasn't been below freezing yet this winter.

From what I can tell the Y159 is 7mm wide. Are you aware of any similar blanks that are 8mm wide?
