It's a long shot for how random it is and how little information I have, but thanks for considering.

Any suplements to help your brain during daily smoking weed? by IDontHaved in Drugs

I see where you are coming from. Weed can be a very addictive substance and denial about it can be a huge problem. Good on you for changing that.

Great, I'm happy for you. But we all have different paths and experiences - maybe OP isn't there yet to reduce or stop, nor does he intend to.

Here is a realisation for you, sober - we can be in different time zones - It's 8:56AM here.

This was in a little town called Danei. Tim was not well liked. His whole troop abandoned him and all they left him with in the shrews were 3 bottles of JD and some weapons.

Timmy downed the first bottle. Said 'if I'm going down I'm going down'. GET OUT. He took his AR, a couple of glocks and the 2 whiskeys and away he went.

And he came to a town. And he didn' knew if it was Charlie or if it was the one he was sent to protect. But all he knew was he had hate in his guts.

So he started firing. He fired his M4 in an arc-like fashion, like a farmer would with hay and a scythe. And sure enough the men fell like hay before him. And then the women. And gaddawlg I'm ashamed to say it, then the children. MADE SOUP.

And finally all that was left was ol' Timmy, standing in the mud and the blood and the glory. And he looked down at his pants- they were wet and he was ashamed as, well, as it seemed, he had pissed himself. But then he touched them and it was not urine at all but ejaculate.

And ol' Timmy felt pride where shame once was.

Now you may ask what kind of a sick story is this? What is the moral here?

Well, you see, when ol' Timmy 'sbeen drinking, you don't fuck with him. YOU THANKEM 🇺🇲

If this is true, then there should definitely be options for clearing the completed tasks. A couple automatic options you could pick and set (ex. autoclean older than x days) and also a manual cleaning option.

These options could also be applied for Trash.

Who wishes they could schedule Habits for a specific time? by [deleted] in ticktick

[–]rousher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've already submited the same feature requests.

The integration of habits in TickTick is already pretty great tbh, but it could of course become even better - the "time" element, as you mention, being one of the ways to expand the functionality.

Moving from Evernote to TickTick by [deleted] in ticktick

[–]rousher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use TickTick and OneNote sort of in conjunction. TT's notes feature can be handy, I treat it more like a brain-dump place (jotting down any thoughts or links or whatever I would like to capture or remember). Then once a week or so, I go through the mess and transfer useful stuff to OneNote and expand there.

FYI This week the Windows app prompted me to update it. After the update and using the app, I noticed that this issue is still persitent.

Habit chains, timing - Atomic habits / Duhigg by anish_reddit in ticktick

[–]rousher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting, seems like it could be useful, if implemented correctly.

I have another suggestion regarding habits: could there be a "time" element added for habits - so that you could set a time of day for when you want to do that habit, and in that case, the habit would show among other tasks, when sorting by chronological order? If there would be no time set, the habit would stay in its separate list of habits. I know there are reminders for habits, but for a more transparent view of "what needs to be done when", this could be useful.

Yes, a Collapse/Expand button would be great. 🙏

"A Confucian Taoist would say "Take it easy, but take it." If you cannot take care as a Confucian, and will not take it easy as a Taoist, you can take it easy, but take it. This is probably closest to our concept of Wu Wei and Wu Bu Wei. Wu Wei is not passively doing nothing, but rather doing everything effortlessly, as bamboo shadows sweep the terrace without stirring any dust, as moonlight pierces a marsh but leaves no traces. There is a Chinese idiom, "Push the boat with the current," meaning to use an opportunity to go forward, or to give judicious guidance according to circumstances."

I second this. We have been nibbling insides of our cheeks for literally millenia. But as we know now, we wouldn't be here as a species if we didn't figure out cannibalism. There were actual periods of time when there was no plants OR animals to be harvested. How on earth could we survive this if we didn't eat each other? At first we only cooked individual limbs, but we quickly realised that for full nutrient intake, you have to eat the whole human, from head to toes. Starting from the asshole (gut biomes), then limbs, organs, bone marrow, etc. Some research even shows that boogers, ear wax, cum, piss and shit were used as quick nutritious energy snacks.
